"Holiday of a lifetime"

I visited Kenya between 4 Aug 2018 and 14 Aug 2018
"This holiday was planned as a retirement trip for my wife and actually exceeded the high expectations that we had for it.

All the arrangements went incredibly smoothly and although we weren’t carrying countless vouchers ( the only 1 was for Safarilink) we didn’t need them as everyone on our itinerary had been clearly informed of our plans and were there on time to make it happen. Prior to travelling I had a number of useful conversations with firstly James and the Richard at Expert Africa to help clarify the itinerary. Richard in particular helped us immensely by getting an early entry to Giraffe Manor as well as a late departure from Mahali Mzuri, which really put the icing on the cake.

Going to Little Governors before Mahali Mzuri proved to be a very wise decision. At Little Governors we were close enough and lucky enough to see the Wildebeest cross the Mara river so it took the pressure off when we were at Mahali Mzuri. People staying there and wanting to see the crossing had about a 3 hour drive each way!

Planning a trip involving several stopovers, it is very useful to have the expertise of a knowledgeable safari operator to call on to make sure you get it right and clearly the author of the Rough Guide to Kenya is just that! A big thank you to Expert Africa for helping our planned trip of a lifetime come to fruition.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

I really think that what you offer is an excellent service.

I lost count of how many hours I spent looking at the very detailed information on your website, which is a fantastic planning tool and well supported by the Rough Guide which I delved into on numerous occasions." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 9 on a Kenya safari

"Holiday of a life time"

I visited Kenya between 24 May 2018 and 4 Jun 2018
"We went on this holiday with the intention of seeing wildlife and we were not disappointed. Everything about the trip worked.

On reflection I probably would not have stayed in the Nairobi area, the game drives did not have the same wow factor as Samburu or Masai Mara but that said the Emakoko lodge was wonderful.

From a logistics point of view everything ran smoothly. This was our first trip to Africa and I felt safe and secure during the entire trip.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

When I first viewed the website I found it slightly overwhelming, as the is almost information overload. However Richard was excellent and I would definitely recommend the company to friends." Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 9 on a Kenya safari

"Our Best Holiday Ever!"

I visited Kenya and 1 other country between 4 Feb 2018 and 19 Feb 2018
"Our trip was amazing. We went to 4 of the 5 countries of East Africa. Saw the gorillas in Uganda, swam with Whale Sharks in Tanzania, climbed Kilimanjaro, kissed giraffes at Giraffe Manor, and had the best safari experience at Laikipia and Masai Mara!" "Perfect Safari"

I visited Kenya between 29 Jan 2018 and 2 Feb 2018
"I had almost given up hope of ever going on a Safari. The opportunity presented itself, I went with my companion, we had an absolutely perfect Safari. Period. Fabulous. Our hesitantly high expectations were immeasurably surpassed. Bu then again, if all goes well in the Mara, that is no surprise." Read full review: 4 nights in Africa; 4 on a Kenya safari

"Kenya 2017"

I visited Kenya between 6 Dec 2017 and 18 Dec 2017
"Another extremely enjoyable visit to Kenya.

Loldia House is a good place to start, offering a beautiful house that is not difficult to get to from Nairobi.

The Mara was ... the Mara! Cats all over the place - we even saw leopard on four occasions - the weather was lovely during the day, with rain just on a couple of occasions late on.

The standards at Governors' were as high - in all aspects - as we have previously experienced and although not the cheapest place to stay, you do "get what you pay for". Note, if you want to get best value from them, opt to take breakfast with you on the early drive ... we were out for the best part of six hours each morning with another 3 - 31/2 hour pm drive.

The Serena group have consistently high standards for what they offer." Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 10 on a Kenya safari
