"A brilliant, trouble free trip"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 3 Sep 2014 and 7 Oct 2014
"After spending months planning our trip and then refining it with Tracy, it more than lived up to all our expectations. Everywhere over our 3,500 trouble free kms driving ourselves around Namibia and 32 nights of luxury tents and lodges in the most wonderful parts of Namibia and Botswana we were met with warm welcomes, friendly smiles and staff and guides determined that we would enjoy what they had to offer. The arrangements Tracy had made worked smoothly, our flight transfers in Botswana all went to plan.

Everywhere we stayed, we wished we could have stayed longer.

We were particularly impressed by Wilderness Safaris wherever we met them - as agent, lodge operator or transfer operator.

"Botswana Birthday Trip"

I visited Botswana and 3 other countries between 24 Jun 2014 and 14 Jul 2014
"Overall this was a fabulous safari experience for the 5 of us, three being first time safari goers and two of us being experienced safari travellers. The game viewing is stupendous. The abundance of water from the delta makes for a very different Southern Africa Experience.

Great to see so many Betswanas working in the camps.

Food - we would have like to have had more game on the menu but perhaps this is made more difficult now by the hunting ban in Botswana.

We think that the camps/safari industry in Botswana need to invest in providing WiFi in the camps

Overall we would readily recommend this trip and Expert Africa for organising it - there was not a hitch during the whole trip. Thank you Megan

"Overall Great Trip"

I visited Botswana and 1 other country between 12 Jun 2014 and 25 Jun 2014
"If I had lots of money, I would not do the same vendor (both Kwando camps) to experience something different; however, overall it was a great trip. Arrangements were flawless and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Maruska was great to deal with as a planner." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 9 on a Botswana safari

"Third visit to Botswana"

I visited Botswana between 20 May 2014 and 30 May 2014
"Overall, enjoyable. If it had been our first trip it might have disappointed in terms of game viewing. However, as always, the camp staff made the stays in both camps pleasurable. Alkso, we were lucky in that most fellow guests were amenable.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

See our comments above about the transfer Selinda/Maun/Jack's. I'm not sure this could have been foreseen, but it did mean we spent most of that day travelling. Our guide sat at the airstrip for Jack's for nearly 2 hours waiting for us (he didn't complain!)

Our international flights, which you arranged, all went according to plans. But the 26 hours of travelling from Jack's to Edinburgh proved somewhat tiring - more to do with our age than anything else.

Thank you for a well organised trip." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 6 on a Botswana safari

"My May 2014 trip"

I visited Botswana between 17 May 2014 and 3 Jun 2014
"This was to be the trip of a lifetime. It was something I had dreamed of since I was about 7 years old, and hours went into planning and information gathering. We looked at other travel companies, famous and expensive ones. Expert Africa had the most informative website that seemed unbiased. As long as the expectations are clear in advance, there are only positive experiences.

Maruska, the Expert who booked our trip gave all of the information that I requested, which was extensive! Maruska was patient and gave us the benefit of having spent years in Botswana. She was empathic, realizing that not having been there before, I was not certain what precautions were needed. She assuaged my fears with accurate information and patience. She explained all aspects of the travel and elicited confidence. She accommodated a very custom tailored, complicated itinerary, and was indefatigable! I must say that all of her hard work paid off for us. The Botswana experience was far better than I could have hoped or imagined. Everything was perfect would be an understatement. The trip was beyond my wildest dreams.

Bostwana is a spectacular part of the world. The ecosystems are unique, the beauty is unreal, the wildlife was up close and the people are the loveliest of all.

Our trip was wonderful in every way. The people who lived and worked at the camps were filled with humor and kindness, and loved a good surprise. I would like to thank every one.

"My April 2014 trip"

I visited Botswana and 1 other country between 6 Apr 2014 and 20 Apr 2014
"Nick was straight back to us on the text when he knew we would be late and showed great forethought in reserving us a room at the Airport Hotel. The A380 had a lot of passengers who missed their flights and the hotel soon became fully booked.

As a comment if Expert Africa has customers who are "time rich" as we are [though not necessarily "cash rich" ] it might be a good idea to suggest a day's stopover after a long-haul flight. Because we had to stay over a day we started our holiday fit and refreshed and enjoyed it all. If we had arrived at Nxia Pan Camp as planned I think we would have been exhausted and it could have taken a few days to recover............the tourist schedule for retirees is pretty demanding !" "Our February 2014 trip to Botswana"

I visited Botswana between 15 Feb 2014 and 1 Mar 2014
"An excellent and very enjoyable trip. Everything was extremely well organised and went without any hitches. Mack Air was efficient and always arrived on time, the only scary moment being on our last flight to Maun when the pilot had to take very rapid avoiding action to prevent us from hitting a stork flying at 4,500 ft! All the Guides were attuned to the requirements of photographers and did their utmost to position their vehicles in the best position. The green season is a wonderful time to go but made their jobs all the harder so their efforts were very much appreciated." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 12 on a Botswana safari

"My Nov 2013 trip"

I visited Botswana between 25 Nov 2013 and 7 Dec 2013
"Generally satisfactory. Some game drives were interrupted by rain, but that was to be expected. As previously noted I feel that Kwando is losing its competitive edge, despite having such top concessions. Perhaps the present rotation of camp managers will wake some up. Charles to Little Kwara should get that camp up to where it belongs" Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 12 on a Botswana safari
