Savute Under Canvas: picture gallery

Savute Under Canvas has the perfect balance between comfort and camping.
Moving between private campsites located in the Savuti corner of Chobe National Park...
...the camp is reached by an hours drive from the airstrip, depending on what you see on route.
There are five en-suite Meru-style tents.
Each tent is furnished with double or twin beds...
...and an en-suite with luggage storage space, a bucket shower...
...a gravity-flush toilet...
...and wash table with mirror, metal basin and water jug, toiletries and mineral water.
The main area is an open-sided tent...
...with help-yourself tea, coffee and drinks station.
Weather permitting, most meals are served alfresco.
The food is of a good standard, prepared in a simple camp kitchen and cooked over an open fire.
The camp is run by an experienced and hospitable team who'll make you feel at home.
Activities focus on morning and afternoon game drives...
...with frequent stops for wildlife viewing.
There's plenty of big-game such as buffalo...
...and excellent birdviewing.
