"My trip to Zambia was stunning.

The itinerary was sympathetically worked out keeping my preferences and budget firmly in mind. Everything went like clockwork and I was able to relax and really enjoy the whole experience, despite the extra demands and requirements covid has brought to travel today.

Expert Africa was reassuring and encouraging and the trip exceeded all my expectations. The knowledge and information available through Expert Africa was invaluable in putting together a trip I shall never forget and right throughout the journey I knew Expert Africa had my back should something go wrong. This let me relax and thoroughly enjoy an unforgettable African holiday.

Zambia's wildlife and facilities at my destinations were amazing. The friendliness and professionalism of the people involved made the experience very enjoyable.

"Our trip was super - the only niggles were in the UK before we left. Flights with BA cancelled and various bits of paperwork to sort. We had problems completing the online 'Travellers Health Surveillance Form'. It would not submit on our desktop but we eventually got it to work on our phones. However nobody ever asked to see it when we arrived in Kenya!

All niggles were quickly forgotten about once we arrived in Kenya and we didn't encounter any further problems/issues. All of the arrangements went perfectly and it was just so nice to get away and enjoy a marvellous holiday.

"The overall trip was amazing. Two different locations Lower Zambezi and Luangwa. Three camps each one different.

Old Mondoro small intimate bush camp. Puku ridge luxurious and Chiawa some where in between. Interesting the habitat from Old Mondoro and Chiawa is quite different even though only 40 kms down/ upstream.

Seeing both Leopards and Wild dogs make a kill was very special and a rare event on safari.

"Our trip was excellent and a wonderful family memory with our young-adult children. The recommended lodges were excellent and we were very happy to be able to support the local communities at each site - facilitated by Expert Africa and Richard Trillo.

Logistically, the connections between cities, lodges, and airlines were flawless. This was our second trip with Expert Africa (and working with Richard Trillo), and it was more complex than our last one: international, bush, and charter flights; three sites; two countries. This trip would have been impossible for us to have pulled off on our own - especially with the two-year delay forced by the pandemic! We were very happy to have these experts on our side!

Regarding the pandemic, Rwanda had the strictest protocols at the time of our trip - requiring four tests in seven days - but our driver arranged all three in-country tests and kept tabs on our results and paperwork for us. Masks were required in all airplanes, but the COVID numbers are so much lower in Africa than in the USA that we all felt very safe in the lodge settings - venues were spacious and largely open-air. We definitely had some anxiety about passing a PCR test in order to go gorilla trekking (we'd had COVID just 45 days before), but we hoped for the best and it worked out for us (and trip insurance would have come through had it not).

I would say that while COVID introduces a "wild card" into the proceedings, the travel-related requirements were well managed for us while overseas, and, in my opinion, going on safari is far safer than going to an American movie theater!" Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 7 on a Kenya safari

"Very happy with the manner in which our trip, which had to be re-organised twice due to Covid, was handled by Lucy and, on one occasion, Chris. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

We were particularly impressed that, on departure from UK day, Lucy made telephone contact to advise that our airline for one of our flights had been grounded and she had already arranged alternative flights.

We would definitely use Expert Africa in future.

"We could not have been happier with the overall experience from booking through execution of our trip. Tracy Lederer was responsive and knowledgeable every step of the way. And thanks to COVID, she had three years to work with us on making the experience happen.

We stayed in Victoria Falls 3 nights to recover from the long journey and enjoy the Falls and Zambezi River experience. We had a 9-night mobile safari with 1-night stays in lodges before and after. Before to "transition" from Vic Falls area and at end to "transition" from mobile safari to the long journey home. All bookings, transfers, meals, etc were executed as expected with high quality service.

We found Tracy to be very helpful and honest in her guidance with us. The changing requirements due to COVID added more considerations for her and us to balance....and that all went smoothly with her help.

"Another well organized trip by Expert Africa, initiated by Olivia and completed by Lyndsey. Communication was always swift and to the point via email.

We visited the Samburu region, Amboseli and the Maasai Mara, giving us a caleidoscopical overview of Kenya. Initially a bit weary of possible crowds and an all too touristy experience we were pleasantly surprised how well this combination of areas and camps worked out. The only mass experience was on our transfer from Amboseli to the Mara via Nairobi-Wilson. In hindsight we would have preferred a direct flight on Mombassa Air Safari or possibly a charter; we were totally spoiled by the lovely direct charter flight from Sarara to Tortilis Camp…😉" Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 14 on a Kenya safari
