My Jul 2022 trip
Kenya between 8 Jul 2022 and 20 Jul 2022
"By far the best trip I've ever been on, I couldn't have asked for more, and I'm already thinking about when I can go back! We saw so much above and beyond my expectations - river crossings, a full lion pride killing a buffalo, just to name a few - and the level of interaction and social behaviour we were able to observe within the animals was incredible. The potential downsides of the trip (early mornings, etc.) were so worth it to me, although I wouldn't recommend it to everyone I know, I thought it was perfect."

"The hotel felt very secure and was comfortable: nicely designed rooms, quite a large bed, free bottled water and generally quiet. The only issue I had was there wasn't any hot water when I got in, around 11:30pm."

Kicheche Laikipia

"I would change absolutely nothing about my stay at Kicheche Laikipia; everything was perfect. The food was delicious and varied, the rooms were exceptionally designed and very private (each tent was in a separate clearing in the trees, with a lovely view of a watering hole), and the staff truly anticipated every need. Peter was an excellent guide, and Louise was a fantastic camp manager. Couldn't have asked for more, will be recommending it to everyone."

Offbeat Mara
"Offbeat Mara review"

Arrived
12 Jul 2022
"Offbeat was lovely. Amazing food and community feel, a lot of folks ate dinner together alongside camp management (Jennifer and Carol, who were amazing), and the Mara North reserve itself was great. The tents were very comfortable, although missing a few luxuries (no outlets for phone charging or running hot water) but nothing that wasn't fine for a few days. The staff and other guests were definitely the highlight though, it was wonderful getting to know everyone!"

Little Governors' Camp
"Little Governors' Camp review"
4 nights
Arrived
15 Jul 2022
"Little Governor's was absolutely stunning. The decor was beautiful, the dining area and the tents looked out onto a marsh which regularly had elephants, warthogs, hippos and lots of birds, which was very special. The staff were very attentive and lovely (Jackson was the best guide I had all trip), and George, the camp manager, checked in every day to make sure we were having a good experience. The tents themselves were very comfortable, with showers, outlets, wifi, etc. - the only downside was they're all quite close to each other so there's not a lot of privacy, you can often hear neighbours voices & etc. The food was the only thing that was a bit disappointing; the picnic breakfasts and lunches were always lovely but there were a few instances in dining room of us receiving different items than were listed on the menu (lasagna instead of risotto for example). But overall, a great experience!"
