"Jozibanini Camp review"

4 nights Arrived 11 Aug 2021
"Aside from just setting out on your own and camping, Jozi provides the ideal way to experience Hwange. The remoteness of the camp is hard to describe, but they're still able to provide all the things one needs to stay viable (even newly installed charging ports in the tents!).

The atmosphere is relaxed yet serious at the same time. The guys really strive to give folks an experience they can't get anywhere else in the park. While the elephant hide is really interesting, getting out onto the trails on foot or on a mountain bike are essential ways to enjoy this spot.

Spend a good 3 or 4 nights here and mix and match different walks and bike rides, with a few afternoons spent at the hide. Even if you've been around the bush, Jozi's wildness is hard to replicate (especially for my American sensibilities)." See all these reviews: 18n in Zimbabwe

"Delightful bush camp"

4 nights Arrived 20 Jul 2019
"A great rustic bush camp that deserves consideration as good venue in its own right and not just as an add on to other programmes.
Dean, the camp manager and guide, is brilliant and his team of four looked after us so well. The food was excellent, especially when produced on a wood fire and in a wood fired oven.
Our animal sightings were good but species limited. Even so there was track evidence of many more, including main predators.
Game drives consist of a journey one way or the other along the access road, and back. The camp would benefit from the creation of game drive loops which we know Dean is working on." See all these reviews: 9n in Zimbabwe

"A truly wild experience"

6 nights Arrived 26 Oct 2018
"Extremely comfortable bush camp, and wildlife – who needs any more than that! It was great to see such a good relationship between Dean and his four staff who were at the camp during our stay.

There was a limited road network in this area for our stay of 6 nights. However, Dean went out of his way to provide many additional experiences, such as a full day trip to incorporate some fishing. An unusual experience, when it comes down to deciding to catch fish or watch the elephants at the other end of the waterhole!!

Sitting in the underground hide by the waterhole in the evening watching elephants so closely was an amazing experience. As was the early morning bush walks. Where ever you were in the camp you had sight of the waterhole and the animals that were visiting.

The only other vehicle we saw during our stay was a park ranger’s vehicle. In the bush, away from it all – a truly wild experience!

Please don’t change ‘Jozi’. Who needs a dining area when you can use the shade of a tree or a roof of stars!

Our thanks to Dean, for a memorable stay at this lovely camp." See all these reviews: 21n in Zimbabwe

"complete wilderness"

2 nights Arrived 19 Sep 2017
"I wanted to try real rustic and this was what I got, although basic it was very well established. I did feel a bit nervous as I was the only person there but reassured by the staff who were utterly charming and the guide, who was on contract to Imvelo but very experienced. The hide is amazing and lets you get really close to the elephants and so privileged to be there on my own with the guide and watching how the socially interact with each other. This is a great place to do walks, I didn't see much game but then that is the nature of being in the wild, timing and luck, however was not disappointed as seeing wild dog and animals up close made up for it.

Dining outside in the wilderness was amazing and boy did the elephants join you for dinner sometimes or wake you up around the tent. I always felt safe even being on my own. Food was fab here compliments to the staff and bucket showers the best. If you want a taste of rustic wild then this is definitely the place to go, would have liked some company is my only negative" See all these reviews: 11n in Zimbabwe
