Zambia: reviews from our travellers

"zambia for bushcamps and walking"
Chris McIntyre was very helpful on the phone and persuaded me not to try to go to Botswana as well as Zambia. An excellent advice as this was more than enough for 2 weeks.
Anna worked through with me the camps to visit and their sequence, and got it just right so we had an excellent balance between basecamps and bushcamps. Mwalshi needs 4 days and is best kept until last. All the paperwork etc arrived to time and in full. I trust Expert Africa completely now after 2 trips with them to Africa. Many thanks to Anna.
The Bradt Guide is essential prior reading for choosing the camps and what to take etc.
Now I look forward to another trip to Africa. Will it be Botswana ( read up on the Bradt Guide first), Zambia in June/July, or back to Namibia. How lucky we are to have these choices!

A hundred praises and just three moans: 1. That flight! 2. We had chosen a very hot period, a month or so earlier would have been better. 3. The tsetse were a pain. (I don't think EA could have done anything about any of the three!!!)

"Wonderful Zambia again"
In the South Luangwa Norman Carr Safaris set very high standards which, with few exceptions, they acheived. Their Guides are second to none and well supported by the Game scouts and Camp staff. The Camp Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Special arrangements were made by Abraham Banda for us to visit Yosefe School with vehicles and drivers being made available to make this possible - an excellent service enabling us to make a most emotional and uplifting visit with the staff and children.
To finish our holiday with 3 nights in the Lower Zambezi was magical - Sausage Tree is a luxury camp with excellent facilities, food and activities.

We would have liked to have brought gifts for Kawaza school and perhaps the Expert Africa team could bring this possibility to the attention of future travellers to Nkwali." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 11 on a Zambia safari
"Overall Comments"
Expert Africa was fantastic in helping put my itinerary together. Extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and very responsive to any questions that I had. This is the second trip I have taken with Expert Africa, and I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend them to anyone interested in visiting Africa. Thanks for everything!

Particularly appreciated help through Lusaka airport and obtaining visa. All transfers went like clockwork and there was mimimum loss of holiday time in transferring from camp to camp.

Largely unspoiled and well populated with diverse game despite hunting its a great destination and more people should visit there rather than falling back on the old stalwarts all the time, Masai, Ngorongoro, Kruger Etosha etc.
Perhaps though most suitable for a third or subsequent African trip." Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 8 on a Zambia safari
