"Fantastic honeymoon"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 2 Sep 2011 and 30 Sep 2011
"Absolutely fantastic trip!

From start to finish everything went smooth and was great. Our best trip so far (out of seven trips to Africa).

"The best vacation ever"

I visited Zambia between 11 Jul 2011 and 29 Jul 2011
"The trip was worked out around our wish of spending 3 weeks in Zambia including North and South Luangwa, doing as much walking as possible plus Kawaza village. On Maruska recommendation Lower Zambezi was added. We also asked for camps/lodges were game viewing was the main focus.

Hence we had quite a few camps and lodges that we stayed in, all in all 9. The logistics between the camps, including the flight connections were as one would say in modern consultancy terminology seamless. The only mishappening was our luggage to Kawaza village, but Proflight worked it out.

The mix of camps was very good as well as the choice of areas, it gave a very good insight in what is available on the eastern side of Zambia. This must have been one our best trips/vacations ever.

As we do quite extensive research ourselves in beforehand we knew what we had to expect, at least to some extent. we understood that this was not the case for all and every one.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

As you know we missed our first day due to Lufthansa delay in Johannesburg. The delay was due to the aircraft, the new Airbus 380 with more than 500 passengers. It took more than 30 minutes to get off the plan. Apart from 15 min late arrival. 1h50 was not enough to make the transfer. We had booked the flight, this is more for you to be aware of the potential risk of delays with these immense aircrafts." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 17 on a Zambia safari

"Zambia trip 2010"

I visited Zambia between 17 Oct 2010 and 28 Oct 2010
"As usual, the whole process, from deliberating on which trip to take, to arriving home, was stress free. Ellie Dunkels was extremely helpful in organizing the trip, contacting Tafifka etc. Personally, one of the reasons I am a repeat customer is due to the extremely professional, knowledgeable, yet very approachable staff, would love to come to staff Xmas party!

Tafika, as before was great. Many thanks to Heather, Bryan, John, Carol. Rhona, Stephen, Alex, Clever, Special, Laurence's, Godfrey, and all the other staff, who work so hard, and make it all seem so effortless.

Fantastic trip, cheers!!" Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 9 on a Zambia safari

"3rd wonderful visit to Luangwa"

I visited Zambia between 22 Sep 2010 and 7 Oct 2010
"This is a star holiday. All the senses are fully alert during the walking trips which is what we like best. Zambia is such a friendly country and the lodges work very well. We simply love these trips and hope to return.

Many thanks to Claire and Chris who helped us choose once again to go back to this bit of paradise.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

I would like an easier, more transparent view of lodge costs to help rule out the unsuitable early on in the selection process." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 14 on a Zambia safari

"More wildlife than ever"

I visited Zambia between 3 Sep 2010 and 18 Sep 2010
"We stayed in some great places and saw more wildlife than ever before (as much leopards as on our five previous trips to Africa combined).

We met a lot of nice people, some of who we will try to stay in contact with. We will definitely return to Zambia someday. A very diverse trip!

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Perhaps you should market yourself more in the rest of Europe (outside the UK). During our trip we only met British people who booked with Expert Africa. People from other countries (e.g. the Netherlands) would not immediately think of Expert Africa when looking for a travel agent, while you're definitely the best we've had so far (after many Dutch disappointments)." "Overall feedback"

I visited Zambia between 21 Sep 2009 and 6 Oct 2009
"Norman Carr Safaris were excellent - facilities and food first rate. They are however overprotective of guests and , if you have done any independent self drive and camping, their safety precautions are OTT and risk spoiling the experience. So be beware.

For first timers they would be great. The walking was really good and our guides were generally excellent. The ZAWA scouts did a great job.

N Luangwa was really relaxed and more of a wilderness experience. Highly recommended." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 14 on a Zambia safari

"do repeat a success"

I visited Zambia between 7 Sep 2009 and 22 Sep 2009
"It was great to be back with the Tafica team and their 3 bushcamps. Walking is the activity to do at every opportunity, once you have seen most animals from a truck.

Suggestions for improvements:

lets talk about next year's trip and how about an increasing discount for faithful clients?" Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 14 on a Zambia safari

"Amazing bang for your bucks!"

I visited Zambia between 3 Oct 2008 and 16 Oct 2008
"I have run out of ways of saying excellent............we cried all the way home on British Airways flight.

Suggestions for improvement:

I hope that Tafika's recipe of giving the best, not spoiling the dish by overloading the camps, and charging a price that gives them the return they want is the right one for the future.

A costly holiday no doubt; but cheap at the price !" Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 11 on a Zambia safari

"zambia for bushcamps and walking"

I visited Zambia between 19 Sep 2008 and 4 Oct 2008
"We first booked this trip for 2007 but Catherine was ill and we had to cancel. So we rebooked for 2008 as soon as we could.
Chris McIntyre was very helpful on the phone and persuaded me not to try to go to Botswana as well as Zambia. An excellent advice as this was more than enough for 2 weeks.

Anna worked through with me the camps to visit and their sequence, and got it just right so we had an excellent balance between basecamps and bushcamps. Mwalshi needs 4 days and is best kept until last. All the paperwork etc arrived to time and in full. I trust Expert Africa completely now after 2 trips with them to Africa. Many thanks to Anna.

The Bradt Guide is essential prior reading for choosing the camps and what to take etc.
Now I look forward to another trip to Africa. Will it be Botswana ( read up on the Bradt Guide first), Zambia in June/July, or back to Namibia. How lucky we are to have these choices!
