"Zambia 2017"

I visited Zambia between 5 Sep 2017 and 21 Sep 2017
"It was a great holiday and we have so many good memories.

We are contemplating a return after the rains to see South Luangwa when it is green." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 14 on a Zambia safari

"My trip to Zambia"

I visited Zambia between 31 Aug 2017 and 17 Sep 2017
"Our trip to Zambia was great.

The only things I would do differently next time would be to specify which guide (now that I know them) I wanted at Chongwe (Troy) and Shenton camps (Patrick), and I would not go to Tafika again." Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 17 on a Zambia safari

"Another great holiday in Zambia"

I visited Zambia between 30 Aug 2017 and 14 Sep 2017
"Once again our trip was well organised and we enjoyed all the places where we stayed. I knew the type of camps we wanted to stay in and the areas we wanted to see and Claire did a very good job in matching these requirements to the appropriate camps. All the transfers and internal flights went smoothly making for a very stress free holiday.

South Luangwa as usual had lots of animals and birds to see and this far into the park there were very few other vehicles around.

It was our first trip to Kafue and I had chosen to go there to try and see more variety of antelope. I was a little disappointed with the game viewing at Musekese - although the camp and the people were great and we loved the river trips - but that is the lucky dip of safaris. There was evidence of lots of animals there we just didn't see them on this trip. Busanga however was better than expected with lots to see although with rather more distance to cover.

The quality of the guides was excellent in all the camps but special mention to Andrew best of them all." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 15 on a Zambia safari

"My Jul 2017 trip"

I visited Zambia between 25 Jul 2017 and 5 Aug 2017
"The trip was wonderful, the only issue being the ground transportation, or lack thereof, from the Lusaka airport to Latitude 15. I would recommend Musekese to anyone as a place to go in the Kafue National Park, not overdone as some of the South Luangwa camps and lodges have become, but more in tune with the area and the game around it." "This is our third trip to Zambia with Expert Africa using Robin Pope Safaris. We enjoyed this trip just as much as the previous two.

Everything ran smoothly and we hope to repeat it next year.

Thank you Freddie especially for helping us to keep the costs within budget." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 13 on a Zambia safari

"A wonderful holiday."

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 12 May 2017 and 25 May 2017
"Namibia was a marvellous discovery for us. We hope that the development of tourism will help the country continue its successful transition from apartheid-era colony to independent nation. The gulf between the wealthy minority and the struggling majority is wide.

When one is made aware of it (e.g. passing Spitzkoppe Village on the way to Spitzkoppen Lodge; going into Walvis Bay location with the police to look for stolen bag) one knows that there is still a long way to go.

Expert Africa provided us with a well-organised and reliable framework in which to enjoy this wonderful country. All your suggestions were spot-on and we appreciated your help when we needed it." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 12 on a Namibia trip

"Fantastic trip"

I visited Zambia between 22 Dec 2016 and 31 Dec 2016
"The trip was fantastic and probably exceeded our expectations. There were so many details that made it special and we have come home with warm feelings about Zambia, thanks to this and to the people we interacted with at the various places we stayed. I will certainly be recommending both the country and the individual places we stayed to others. The number of animal sightings was incredible!

We also felt our experience with Expert Africa was very positive as well.

One point I'd like to mention - when we arrived at Lilayi Lodge we were told that lunch was not included in what we had already paid, which I had not realized. We arrived at 3 pm on Dec 22, so we had not expected it to be included that day but we thought it would be on Dec 23, when we spent the whole day at the lodge. This is probably confusion on my part, as the documents we were sent stated "half board" and Lilayi staff explained that half board to them meant dinner/breakfast.

However we were not familiar with this term so I had assumed it meant all meals, just no activities. It is not a big deal as we simply paid for lunch that day, however I'd like to suggest that this be clearly stated on documents for other guests who stay there ie. that it is only dinner and breakfast - to avoid others experiencing the same confusion." "Overview"

I visited Zambia and 1 other country between 4 Oct 2016 and 20 Oct 2016
"We had a fabulous trip. it was all we had hoped for and went without a hitch.

It seems that it is standard practice in safari camps to eat 'family style', hosted by members of the camp staff. On talking with other guests at both camps we nearly all agreed that we would have preferred to eat separately. We realise that this is not something that Expert Africa can control but maybe worth passing on to the camps that you deal with.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

A little more clarity on visas would have helped. I was told that for Malawi we could get visa on arrival but your literature advises to get it in advance. In the event we went for 'on arrival' and it was no problem.

Also a little more clarity of what airport taxes we would need to pay would have saved a call or two to your office to find out." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 9 on a Zambia safari
