"Amazing trip !"

I visited Zambia between 17 Oct 2011 and 27 Oct 2011
"We had a wonderful trip to Zambia. The wildlife was amazing and we were glad to have the recommendation of 2 Shenton camps plus Mondoro as they complemented each other very well.

Everything went to plan and we will certainly choose Expert Africa again.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Some slightly more detailed advice on photography would be useful. For example on the Shenton web site (not Expert Africa) the emphasis is on top of the range cameras with big lenses. Yes some people have this but they are very expensive. We purchased a 55-300mm telephoto lens which proved adequate for all but the photographing of birds as we got pretty close to most animals. Maybe you could give a counterbalance to the Shenton information to ease the mind of the everyday photographer." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 10 on a Zambia safari

I visited Zambia between 10 Oct 2011 and 27 Oct 2011
"Thoroughly enjoyed all of it and by the end was remembering many of the dozens of birds , trees and plants from my old bush days. I especially enjoyed the walking and getting back to the smaller things in the bush and all the interactions.

Although expensive and by my standards very luxurious , I enjoyed being pampered !

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Very little to add as everything went swimmingly and everyone I dealt with was most pleasant and flexible. Only the delayed BA flight back , together with leaving behind most PACS luggage in Lusaka ( arrived 4 days later ) , was a negative factor but this is not your problem." "Zambia Sep 2011"

I visited Zambia between 23 Sep 2011 and 8 Oct 2011
"First time in Zambia but ExAf was able to take feedback from previous trips to Namibia and create an itenerary to suit expectations. Had a great time.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Feedback I heard while out in Zambia at Tafika is that you are very good at matching people to the camps so that no one arrives with the wrong set of expectations.

That is also my experience in dealing with you, which is why I am a return customer..." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 14 on a Zambia safari

"great adventure"

I visited Zambia and 1 other country between 11 Sep 2011 and 1 Oct 2011
"My husband and I had been to Zambia 3 years ago and were travelling with my brother-in- law and his wife (from Canada) who had not been to Africa before. I think we were all very pleased with the holiday in terms of the huge variety of places we saw and things we did. It was a lot to pack in with 2 countries and 7 different camps/hotels in 3 weeks (so unavoidably a lot of travelling) but it gave us a great flavour of the countries and places we might want to revisit for longer.

We were pleased with the suggestions of places to stay especially the camps in Zambia and in S Africa Bishops Court and Ocean Eleven were really good. In retrospect the only changes I would make would be a day longer at Kaingo with possibly one less at Hog Hollow, and I would prefer to stay at one of the wineries rather than Rusthof.

The trip organisation was again excellent with all the connections, transfers etc working as expected and I would certainly use Expert Africa again for future holidays.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Perhaps worth considering suggesting people take evaluation forms with them as they are quite detailed and filling them in at the time might be easier and allow a more independent review (rather than comparing the different camps on your return." "Zambia safari & Lake Malawi"

I visited Zambia and 1 other country between 20 Aug 2011 and 4 Sep 2011
"After three previous planned trips, our long-awaited Zambia safari fulfilled all of our (lofty) expectations.

The varied, fun-filled days and nights in Lower Zambezi and South Luangwa were all that we had hoped for and both parks more than deserve their reputation. To just name a few highlights: 7 great leopard sightings in 10 days, lions hunting/feeding on buffalo/playing with cubs, elephants within reach (his and mine), lazily canoeing down the great Zambezi river (incl. hippo "bump") or herds of elephant majestically crossing the Luangwa/Zambezi.

Lake Malawi and Kaya Mawa has been a wonderful addition that should not be missed.

As usual, thank you very much to Ellie and the Expert Africa team for their knowledgeable advice and valuable service - there is a reason we have booked all of our Africa trips with Expert Africa during the last 10 years. May there be many more to come

"Great Trip"

I visited Zambia between 15 Aug 2011 and 27 Aug 2011
"we were in the bush for 12 days and wondered whether this was too long. It wasn't!

The combination of bush walking (Zebra Plains), vehicle based (Tafika) and water based (Old Mondoro worked really well and we saw some great game. It did seem that some of the game denisty had dropped since our last visit to Zambia in 2003 but we were glad to be back.

As usual Maruska was a star; patient and helpful in knitting together a perfect trip at short (4 weeks) notice.
