Her help and conversations that led to the ultimate itinerary were right on our wishes - she listened and delivered the ultimately memorable experience of a lifetime; one we will be talking about forever.

Our friends saw lions and leopard - I think we were unlucky.
We were also very tired as it was our first day and we had had a long journey to get to Tanzania.

We had a special lunch cooked for us in the village (although, I was sick that evening - my husband was not - so not sure but feels like it was related....).
We tasted some banana beer - which was funny! Our village guide was very knowledgeable and contributed to a special day.

We met the husband and wife who own the Lodge - they were very welcoming as were all the staff and it was interesting to hear their story of how they came to be in this place.
The accommodation was absolutely fine - very real!"

The story told was nothing that we did not really know.
Apparently, there are some footprints nearby that they have not opened up to the public - this was really what I wanted to see....

Luckily, we are right next to the Royal Livingstone Hotel which were happy for us to have dinner there both of our nights.
The people at Avani are also looking a bit tired - the whole place needs a face lift...
Of course some of the staff were wonderful and we tipped them separately..."

We were upgraded to a suite, due to our friends being there just a few weeks prior - we do love an upgrade!
Shoes being cleaned at the end of a dusty day of walking was a special touch appreciated.
Emmanuel looked after us from beginning to end - he was brilliant.
Renata is a very special lady and we wish her a fabulous and exciting future in Tanzania."
