"Four Points was just as expected, clean, bland and perfect recovery stop from a long journey.

It was a relief to arrive, and I was happy to leave!"

"Giraffe Manor is a dream. Of course I was the only, literally the only guest!

So that definitely made the experience remarkable. I had all the giraffes to myself.

I suspect it can be a slightly touristy, instagram stop in more normal times. But I loved it.

It was smart to make it the first stop, since the comfort of the room and the lodge gave me a chance to relax. And of course the game viewing would have been a disappointment if I'd gone to the Mara first, but as it was my first game drives, I loved them all.

The manager, Aisha was great company and the food was wonderful. I really enjoyed a couple of bird walks I did with my guide Simon and even the gift shop was well done!"

"Offbeat Mara was the highlight of the trip.

I was blown away by the game viewing, 4 kills, lions every day, lion cubs and a cheetah baby, a hippo fight, everything you could possibly want to see. Lots of drama and excitement.

My wonderful Maasai guide was by far the best-dressed of anyone all trip, and I even did yoga with the (only again!) other guest and a staffer. The other guest had an app we used.

I found out the results of the U.S. election while there and Jen, the camp manager was a joy to share that with and celebrate with. She was nearly as invested in the results as I was."
