Namibian Adventure

"Everything worked as planned and all the pre-trip advice was excellent (except Ongava). Very patient staff answering numerous questions. It helps that our adviser was a Namibian.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
We missed out on comments about the Windhoek Country Club which was a great stopover.
Some lodges had poor entry roads (very badly rutted, far worse than the public roads).
The Skeleton coast no longer has any skeletons. We are glad we did it but there isn't much to see except the emptiness. We had difficult finding someone to open the gates to the NP as there were only 3/4 cars each way per day. We only had one shock with petrol in the whole trip. This was along the Skeleton coast where the petrol station at Mile 108 has closed. This meant, even with a full tank that we had to divert to Palmwag for petrol: a 50 km detour. This was exciting for us but not everyone's cup of tea.
We bought a cool box in Windhoek: this is probably a sensible move as ice is available everywhere."

"Location on hillside gave great views but difficult walking to restaurant etc.
Not good for older people and those with any problems walking.

"The problem here is that the central facilities are at the top of a very sttep hill and all of the chalets were at the bottom. The steps were very very sttep (mountain goats would have had difficulty) and this had to be negotiated twice a day. After 7.30 we we had to have a member of staff to show us the way with a torch. Apparently we were in danger from lion!!!. If so we would have been at risk of attack all night. I think this was a grat over-reaction.
Timekkeping of torch bearers was appauling.--1/2 hour late.
Food was cold and poor quality.
Please take this off your list, especially for older clients.

"The best experience of the trip. The manager was superb. Everything about this place was excellent plus. We liked the wart hogs and antelopes in the gardens.

"Welcome Ok. But service after that was poor. I think they lose interest if you are not taking there trips. eg we all have to wait until 8.30pm to eat, after the evening trips return. We thought our throats had been cut. The food was cold. We complained but literally no response.
Rooms were like barracks with curtains that could not keep the sun out, so very hot. No air con.
View from the room was superb. Not good for a one night stay on the way back to airport as drive in is 24 km."
