My Mar 2024 trip
Kenya and 1 other country between 29 Mar 2024 and 8 Apr 2024
"Wonderful trip to Nairobi and the Serengeti. See individual camp reviews.
Only overall snag was Kenya Airways cancelling a leg of our return flight from Kilimanjaro-Nairobi which Expert Africa quickly stepped in to help with (involved re-routing the bush flights to enable us to fly Zanzibar-Nairobi instead).
Was very grateful for this support, quickly provided."

"Fantastic farm-to-plate food, and a lovely serene lodge to start our trip and recover from international flights.
Yes, you will hear planes rumbling overhead at night but they provide ear plugs.
Saw a lovely array of wildlife in the park and photos were made interesting with the backdrop of the city skyline."

"Excellent camp with superb guiding and general staff, who couldn’t have been more welcoming, efficient and friendly.
Our guide was Irene and was a pleasure to hang out with for 3 days - personable, energetic and possessed with fantastic knowledge. Great sense of humour too. We hope to see her again on another trip! Great sightings of the zebra/wildebeest migration, and a pleasure to have most sightings to ourselves. We were lucky enough to have the photographic vehicle to ourselves for the duration (as the camp wasn’t full) which made it extra special.
Only thing I would say to be aware of - and Asilia and the camp are obviously not in control of this - is to make sure you are comfortable with tsetse flies. We covered up, wore appropriate colours, used insect repellent and still both got bitten a LOT. It turns out I am very allergic to these ones. I’ve been bitten before in Ruaha and Mana Pools and didn’t react badly, although those actual bites were more painful. Something for future travellers to bear in mind!"

"Loved every second and every aspect of the camp.
Have visited dozens of camps across Africa over last 8 years and this is one of only 3 places we long to return to! Great sightings of cats despite the weather and long grass. Staff all excellent.
Special shout outs to guide Ngimba, butler Zawadi and housekeeper Mussa. All lovely people and excellent at their respective jobs who made our stay a real pleasure.
Must admit I shed a tear on departure and haven’t done that in a while! We will be back!"
