"Do not hesitate in experiencing this relatively new lodge. It is the perfect place for a spiritual boost in the wilderness. We only stayed one night, but would have loved an extra day here for a bit of quiet respite from an otherwise full-on exploration of Namibia. It provides luxury in the great outdoors."

"Everything is geared towards ensuring you have a great stay and nothing is too much for the extremely friendly and helpful staff. The the rooms are perfectly situated but can leave you feeling that you are in pizza oven, even though they have air-con. Nevertheless, the game drive we went on (with the local guide, Willy) was one of the best we have ever experienced!"

"The place is bit run down and clearly has a management that cares little for what are quite disintereted and miserable staff. It is a bit like staying in an old Eastern Block country. This is unfortunate, as the site is well laid out, with comfortable chalets - ours even had a Braai / BBQ pit - and still has the potential to be a top place to stay, with an amazing waterhole."

"Halali Camp is very similar to, but smaller than, Okaukuejo Camp and provides a far better service and overall experience. Unlike Okaukuejo Camp it has a waterhole that attracts not only the full range of game but is far enough away from the rooms and chalets to attract only those with a genuine interest in wildlife and willing to be appropriately quiet!"

"This is a top end reserve, with opportunities to encounter wildlife in a way that is second to none. We encountered a large male leopard on the road as we approached the lodge and had an early morning game drive that enabled us both to spend time watching a female leopard feeding in a tree and then playing with her young, and to follow on foot a cheetah and her young - an absolutely amazing experience. The rooms and main lodge building are enormous, modern and luxurious, with unparalleled views across the reserve. Do not miss Okonjima Plains Camp!"
