Ruaha National Park

Ruaha is Tanzania’s largest national park.

It offers guided walking safaris...

...where you might spot some of the park’s fantastic birdlife...

...as well as a good amount of wildlife.

Ruaha is known for its dramatic scenery, including rolling hills...

...and open plains with skeletal baobab trees.

Ruaha’s wild and untrammelled feel sets it apart from other reserves.

"Honeymoon to Tanzania"

I visited Tanzania between 17 Sep 2009 and 27 Sep 2009
"Everyone we met was pleasant and helpful. There isn't anything we would have changed about this trip, it was our perfect honeymoon and we were very sad to leave.

Suggestions for improvement:

keep up the good work, everyone we met whilst travelling who had dealt with expert africa had much praise for you" Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 7 on a Tanzania safari

"Although well travelled, old and cynical we had many "heart stopping moments" during animal encounters. I will never be able to persuade my wife into a simple tent again - she will insist on mahogany furnishings." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 8 on a Tanzania safari

"Ruaha and Selous perfect combination"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 5 Sep 2009 and 20 Sep 2009
"We had a fantastic trip.

If we were organising again I think we would do 3-4 days in Zanzibar first to wind down and get into holiday mode and then go to the Ruaha and Selous to get maximum benefit from the safari. We loved both parks and they provide an excellent combination with contrasting scenery, fantastic game viewing and game animals and different activities. The camps were quite exceptional and we would love to visit them and perhaps go all the way to Katavi.

The organisation and those all involved in it here and locally went entirely smoothly.

Suggestions for improvement:

I know this is probably not that helpful but this is the third trip you have organised for us and on each occasion your service has been exceptional, we would not dream of going to Africa with anyone else - many thanks." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 8 on a Tanzania safari

"Once in a lifetime - possibly not"

I visited Tanzania between 30 Aug 2009 and 13 Sep 2009
"As ever everything was very well organised and any problems ironed out before they become a problem. Some trips just work and this was one of those trips.

It is all in the planning and the fantastic staff at EA - thanks again Claire and well done - I enjoyed the fruits of your hard work.

"Overall"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 24 Aug 2009 and 8 Sep 2009
"This was a great trip . We had been on safari 2 times before and I think this was the best trip. The 2 parks were both very good and Zanzibar was relaxing afterwards. All the arrangements worked like clockwork and all the people we dealt with were helpful , committed and friendly.

Suggestions for improvements:

We kept chopping and changing our plans , but Elly was very patient with us and came up with helpful suggestions to make sure our trop siuted us. We wanted good game viewing and comfortable accommodation - we are not interested in having spas and the ultimate luxuries ! Rather an experience , and that's what we had.

So I don't have any real suggestions for improvement !" Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 7 on a Tanzania safari

"Great Southern Tanzania safari"

I visited Tanzania between 8 Aug 2009 and 24 Aug 2009
"We did have great expectations for our trip through Southern Tanzania - and were not disappointed.

The standard of the camps was consistently excellent, game viewing extraordinary and everything worked without a hitch. These parks can only be recommended for everyone who likes to be a bit off the beaten track and form a truly unique safari experience.

Further comments:

Excellent advice and great work as we have come to know from Expertafrica." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 13 on a Tanzania safari

"Fantastic holiday"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 18 Jul 2009 and 2 Aug 2009
"Fantastic holiday, and very well organised. Everywhere we went we were met by people who were expecting us and knew where we should be! This obviously meant we could relax and enjoy the experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful

I think we were well advised and the combination of lodges worked very well. The animals we saw at both exceeded my expectations, and we weren't surrounded by lots of humans! Often we could have been the only people for miles (and probably were).

Suggestions for improvements:
