"An amazing Tanzanian safari experience in Selous & Ruaha - better than we could possibly have hoped for. Zanzibar is overrated - would not return there." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 8 on a Tanzania safari

"Big value for money"

I visited Tanzania between 1 Nov 2008 and 14 Nov 2008
"I got more than expected, and it says a lot. The level of informations were of a very high standard before departure and the service at the camps and on game drive was excellent.

It was not very but at least 110% satisfactory." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 12 on a Tanzania safari

"Better than we dared to hope"

I visited Tanzania between 30 Oct 2008 and 12 Nov 2008
"A thoroughly magical experience - the best holiday we have ever had. We fell in love with Africa and the African people that we met.

Suggestions for improvement:

None. Anyone we met who had dealt with Expert Africa (in particular Claire) was delighted with the whole experience." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 12 on a Tanzania safari

"Good trip."

I visited Tanzania between 20 Oct 2008 and 31 Oct 2008
"As previously described it was a trying and frustrating start. The camps were superb.

Every single connection made was flawless.

Perhaps another jeep in each camp would give more choice.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Would be interested in Uganda but you dont do it. Why is this?

Worthy of consideration perhaps?" Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 6 on a Tanzania safari

"Retirement Holiday"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 18 Oct 2008 and 31 Oct 2008
"A holiday full of experiences - some good, some bad - but all memorable. The bad ones will become great 'dining out' stories." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 7 on a Tanzania safari

"The Goodall's on Safari"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 18 Oct 2008 and 2 Nov 2008
"Were happy with all the arrangements which went like cloakwork, without exception, which in a country like Tanzania, can be no mean feat!

Were very pleased that we decided to drive across the Senegeti rather than fly. Although a long drive, we certainly had a great feel for the place and gives you a better idea of the different types of scenery.

I am usually fairly critical but could find no fault. It was certainly the most we have paid for a holiday and I would have been very disappointed if the arrangements had been poor.

Suggestions for improvement:

none" Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 6 on a Tanzania safari

"I had researched quite carefully what I wanted from this holiday, but even so this trip did exceed and surpass expectations.

We were very happy with everything, and on reflection wouldn't have changed anything. We spent some time discussing the options with Ellie before we made a final decision on our itinerary, and felt that the eventual overall balance of the different lodges, camps and locations chosen worked very well for us, providing an excellent overview for a first African safari and visit to Tanzania.

I am very glad that we made the decision to opt for a private safari, especially when we saw how crowded some safari vehicles were, as we really appreciated having our own space and being able to stop as and when we wanted. Albert was a very knowledgeable guide, and an excellent and careful driver - put to the test on the day it rained so heavily and we had to ford a suddenly much swollen stream in flood which had risen rapidly, to get back to camp.

We very much enjoyed going our own way by day, but meeting up with other guests for sociable evenings back in the camps and lodges. I would certainly go for this style of holiday if we decide to take another African trip in the future.

Suggestions for improvement:

No, very pleased with it." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 11 on a Tanzania safari

"Yet again Expert Africa did a wonderful job!

There did seem to be a breakdown in communication though with dietary requirements (some places weren't aware and then struggled to cater accordingly).

Suggestions for improvements:

We have no further comments other than to say we've never hesitated in recommending Expert Africa." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 6 on a Tanzania safari

"A great holiday"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 13 Oct 2008 and 29 Oct 2008
"We look back on our holiday as a wonderful memory. It was certainly all we had hoped it would be, and felt that our wishes had been well understood and catered for.

Suggestions for improvement:

The only thing that springs to mind is to stress to clients the importance of having proper reef shoes for this kind of holiday. One doesn't appreciate how sticky the sea bottom is at low tide, and many people only have flip flops, which are disastrous.

Thank you for organising such a stress-free and enjoyable holiday!" Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 9 on a Tanzania safari

"Si' s feedback"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 11 Oct 2008 and 29 Oct 2008
"I'm a terrible winge. Thea thought it was all fantastic & is now depressed. I got a couple of bluebottles off Echo which was educational. So did Andy which cheered me up, except mine wouldn't go down. Off Unguja it was like swimming through clouds of used condoms which were also a bit pricky, so I got spots on my spots. Elies gave me some anti histomine which calmed them down a bit. Also my guts gave out. Luckily everybody else was on honeymoon so mozzies were no problem. Up in Selous we copped some bad patches of tetse which came up very nicely & set off my jelly stings to perfection. Luckily these have all lasted quite well & Ive been able to show the girls in the office. By chance I read the blurb on Rufigi so we shot round Stone town pillaging the cash machines. A suitcase of Tshillings just about covered our bill at Rufigi but we were not prepared for Madze to be back in the 50s too & we just scraped by with a mottly mix of currencies. Richard was not happy. & neither was I. I hate paying real money. Not that Tshillings is real money. When I was a lad you could get a tusker for 3 bob, at Madze its 8124."
