Safaris usually start early...

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is a wonderful and unique accommodation option.

Ngorongoro offers rich wildlife rewards...

...and some great scenery.

The lake is a good spot for watching the birdlife.

...you may come across some lions...

...as well as large herds of zebra...

...and beautiful spots to admire the landscape.

You also may encounter some hippos while having a break by the lake.

"Cohen honeymoon"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 15 Sep 2012 and 30 Sep 2012
"It was an amazing once-in-a-lifetime trip and excellently arranged and put together by Expert Africa.

In addition to the comments above our two safari guides, Fazo (at Tarangire and Ngorongoro) and Godwin (Serengeti) were so friendly, knowledgeable and outstanding at spotting animals. It was a privilege to be with them for our safari.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

On the whole it was very good. I did pay my deposit in early spring though and instead of receiving a reminder about the balance in mid-summer, I just got an email telling me I was late. It's true, I was late but a reminder that it was due would have sufficed.

I would not recommend Zanzibar Palace for honeymooners - there seem to be a couple of newer hotels in Stonetown that are a bit more modern and plush" Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 7 on a Tanzania safari

"My Jul 2012 trip"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 28 Jul 2012 and 15 Aug 2012
"A brilliant trip with a few minor issues in the scheme of things. Very glad we chose Tanzania over Kenya as we got a crowd-free experience and really got “in amongst it”.

The Serengeti in particular is a stunning place and the large wildebeest crossing we witnessed was an incredibly dramatic and moving experience. Overall, we feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to have had this experience.

Organisation / communication from E-A was excellent throughout." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 12 on a Tanzania safari

"My Jul 2012 trip"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 24 Jul 2012 and 8 Aug 2012
"A great safari/beach holiday. Excellent organisation and advice throughout from Expert Africa. We will certainly book with Expert on our next Africa trip.

PS - our driver Stanford at Ngorongora could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable - he gave us a real insight into the local culture and traditions and coped admirably with three very long days.

The transfers in Zanzibar were the opposite. The driver meeting us in Stonetown barely said hello and never said a word during the 80 minute drive to Baraza. The return trip back to Stonetown was not much better (although we were picked up at 4am!). We were dropped off at Stonetown airport with no offer of assistance to discover we had to wait over an hour before the Coastal desk opened. It would have helped if the driver had shown us where to wait and warned us that we were early - Stonetown airport is not exactly Heathrow T5!" "AWESOME TRIP"

I visited Zanzibar and 1 other country between 18 Jul 2012 and 5 Aug 2012
"Overall...perfect trip.

For the most part, everything ran smoothly. Transfers were on time, reservations were all correct. Only hiccup was at Kati Kati, where we were directed to three different camps before finding the correct one. Other than that the trip was truly amazing. Each place knew we were on our honeymoon and did special little things for us.

Nomad Tanzania, and especially our guide, Cornelius, were amazing. Made our trip so much better than we could have expected. Will be recommending an African trip, Maruska, Nomad, and Expert Africa to all our our friends and families.

"Tanzania and Rwanda"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 6 Jul 2012 and 20 Jul 2012
"We were/are very pleased at your succesful efforts to change our dates etc.

Nairobi airport was not a good experience, both changing to fly to Tanzania and coming back from Rwanda. Talking to others, flying to Amsterdam and then with KLM to Kilimanjaro sounded much easier." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 8 on a Tanzania safari

"My Jun 2012 trip"

I visited Tanzania between 1 Jun 2012 and 8 Jun 2012
"The trip overall was amazing, we saw a lot of Tanzania in just 6 days and really loved the country, the people, the landscapes and places we visited, the wildlife - so much so that we want to go back.

Claire was very helpful in putting this trip together, and it was super well organised all the way through - absolutely everything went to plan, and we felt throughout that we were in very good hands.

We had already been to Namibia with Expert Africa in 2007 and given this Tanzania trip was another very positive experience, we would definitely contact Expert Africa again to organise our next trip to Africa." Read full review: 7 nights in Africa; 6 on a Tanzania safari
