"We actually had relatively low expectations based on reading other reviews. We were stunned by the amount of wildlife we saw.

The road through the forest arrives in the lake and it is not possible to go on because of high level of water.

The lake shores are all flooded, and as expected the flamingos were gone.

"Lake Manyara was a really special park. Small but quite diverse.

We didn't see the tree climbing lions (or any lions for that matter), but our guide/driver was in communication over the radio with others in the park and i don't believe any lions were seen that day. What we did see however were lots of elephants, incredibly close up.
