"Tsala Treetop Lodge review"

3 nights Arrived 8 Apr 2022
"Beautiful tree top location, luxury rooms with all amenities including big bath, lovely fire and very comfy armchairs. We loved going along the walkways to the restaurant.

The gardens were truly beautiful with peaceful, relaxing walks in open areas and shady gardens full of plants and different flowers. The food and service was excellent in all respects. Strict covid measures were in place on entry which was very reassuring.

There was plenty to do at the hotel and in the surrounding area and the staff helped us with this. We would certainly go there or to the other connected hotel again whilst going along the Garden route." See all these reviews: 13n in South Africa

"Absolutely Fabulous !"

2 nights Arrived 27 Oct 2018
"This place is absolutely fabulous. We must have spent the first 30 minutes after arrival simply taking photographs of the room and location. Rooms come with your own private infinity pool overlooking the forest. Suites are huge - bedroom, entrance room, sitting room, v.large bathroom and (optional) outside shower.

Be careful - the local monkeys have realised that snacks / nibbles are provided in the room for new arrivals. They're harmless, but expect to share your cheese straws.

We used both restaurants - Tsala Lodge itself and nearly Zinzi. The food wasn't quite up to the same standard as the location. But as the location was truly outstanding, I'm probably being a little unfair. In 30 years of traveling, I've found nothing that quite compares to this." See all these reviews: 11n in South Africa

"Tsala Treetop Lodge review"

3 nights Arrived 16 Feb 2018
"The 'rooms' were exceptional here at Tsala but we felt the welcome was tepid and the service (apart from housekeeping which was excellent) needed a little improvement. We also thought the property was a little 'tired' and could have done with some renovations.

An incident on our first night where my dietary intolerance were overlooked despite having having been reiterated moments before, could have had serious consequences for someone with a more severe condition. Adequate compensation was made so we don't wish to make a formal complaint but it was indicative of the lack of attention to detail in service." See all these reviews: 17n in South Africa

"Fabulously different place to stay"

2 nights Arrived 9 Feb 2015
"Our Tsala welcome was excellent and our tree top lodge was fabulous. The staff and service were attentive but unobtrusive and the breakfast was really top class.

Our evening out for dinner at Zinzi (as recommended by Expert Africa's MD!) was just great and not to be missed. The setting, service and food were brilliant." See all these reviews: 8n in South Africa
