"Ndedema Lodge review"
At breakfast, there were four of us, the array was dazzling and included scones, jam and cream, as well as the usual cereals, cold meats and cheese, rolls, jams and toast. Then there was a choice of eggs, sausage, bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes, followed by a 'knickerboker glory' of yoghurt and stewed fruit laced with honey - the follwoing day we had grapefruit laced with passion fruit, all picked from their trees." Best local restaurants were both unavailable first night so Wilma and her ladies served an excellent dinner themselves in the courtyard.
She is very knowledgeable about the area and offered many suggestions of places to visit. A great stop." See all these reviews: 10n in South Africa
"Clanwilliam bliss"
The breakfasts in the garden were a joy.
Particularly liked The Bath!
Plus close proximity to Lamberts Bay , the Gannet colony and restaurant recommendation a bonus." See all these reviews: 12n in South Africa; 5n in Namibia
"Great wildflower viewing in the Cedarberg."
Our hosts could not have been kinder or more helpful and it was they who made our stay with their recommendation of a wonderful wildflower drive. On the way back we walked the Sevilla trail - a stroll through the wild flowers to see ancient rock art - a superb end to the day." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia; 3n in South Africa
"Ndedema Lodge review"
Wilma was most helpful – because she had expected the town to be very full because of a flower festival she had booked a table for us for both nights at a very good restaurant, the Reinhold., and she gave us excellent and much appreciated help in suggsting to us how we should best to use our time in the area. Her helpfulness extended to lending my wife a warm jacket for when we drove off into the Cederberg - the (I believe) unseasonal cold weather had caught us unprepared. Again, hot water bottles were provided. We were given a very ample breakfast.
Our room was very comfortable and characterful, the one criticism being that it was very gloomy. Some brighter electic light bulbs would have transformed it.." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia; 6n in South Africa
"A great B and B in Clanwilliam"
The breakfasts were excellent, a fruit plate followed by a full cooked breakfast.
When we wanted an early start to go walking to the Wolfberg Crack in the Cederberg, we were given an excellent packed breakfast and packed lunch at no extra charge.
As it was the flower season, the local restaurants were very busy, Wilma made provisional bookings for us at the best restaurants in Clan William for each evening of our stay before we arrived." See all these reviews: 11n in South Africa
