Bird Island

Bird Island is home to a variety of tropical birds.

It’s a phenomenal place for wildlife viewing...

...and even close encounters are possible.

Watch out for giant tortoises which are frequently sighted as well.

You may also enjoy a relaxing walk along the white beaches...

... discover Bird Island’s amazing marine life below...

...and above the water.

I visited Seychelles between 19 Feb 2010 and 7 Mar 2010
"Good trip, mostly as expected.

Irritations were mainly caused by Masons, they seem to consider a whole day for whatever transfer is reasonable, it could be arranged more tightly and efficiently.

Also they seem strangley unaware of local timetables booking us on a non-existent ferry crossing, but at least they tracked us down to tell us.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

The info on Bird island could be better, we got all the messages about very little luggage and complied, messing around to store luggage and then annoying Bird Island by turning up to diner in shorts.

Other people just went out there with 20 KG+ each." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 7 on a Seychelles holiday

Our suggestions for beach lodges in Bird Island

Bird Island Lodge

Bird Island Lodge

The beautiful Bird Island has one fairly simple lodge and sometimes over a million very relaxed sea-birds; come for these amazing creatures, not the creature-comforts.
