"Our 2015 visit to Nanibia"

I visited Namibia between 26 Aug 2015 and 25 Sep 2015
"WE were very lucky to go to Namibia for the fifth time, we visited some new places and some we now know quite well, most lived up to our expectation, only 2 we were disappointed with. We had some amazing animal experiences and traveled though very varied landscapes. The Namibians are such friendly welcoming and polite people , a joy to be with. They are always so thrilled to learn that we have returned again and again. we met many first time visitors who said they would be back.

The only down side was the car, not the one we ordered and not up to the gravel roads very hard and tiring to drive." Read full review: 30 nights in Africa; 27 on a Namibia trip

"Great trip to Namibia"

I visited Namibia between 22 Aug 2015 and 6 Sep 2015
"It was a great trip.

It was very easy to do it with a pregnant lady and a small child, and he had a great time as well.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
Expert Africa's service is great as always. There are a few small things you could improve regarding travelling with (small) children. For example: after arrival in Windhoek we might have (in hindsight) preferred a lodge where we could have dinner and with the option for an early checkin. Also, the vehicle we used was a bit on the small side (everything fit, but only just).

Also, on the feedback form it would be great if you could easily switch between lodges by clicking on the name in the left side menu. Now you can only go back and forth using the 'Previous' and 'Continue' buttons, which is not so efficient if you want to add an extra comment to the first lodge." "My Aug 2014 trip"

I visited Namibia between 25 Aug 2014 and 12 Sep 2014
"Despite problems arising so near to departure this holiday lived up to our expectations. Highlights were camp waterholes and we were able to watch numerous animals and birds. As we were only able to get out of car at toilets we spent much of the day in the car with a/c on as temperatures reached over 30C. Also white dust got into everything.

Pleased car gave no problems and was comfortable

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Clocks changed on Sep 7tth and would be helpful to tell clients
Petrol can now be paid for by credit cards at all pumps in Etosha but there are no ATMs
Problems with getting cash from ATMs at airport and elsewhere.
No diesel at Waterberg for those needing it
Would be useful to have list of toilets in Etosha" Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip

"My Nov 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia between 8 Nov 2013 and 25 Nov 2013
"In all, our trip was more wonderful than we had anticipated. The country is just beautiful and we almost invariably found our interactions with lodge staff and other encounters very friendly and helpful. We found the Namibian people to be so soft spoken and gentle and attentive without being obsequious .

The lodges were very clean, well run and some beautifully designed. Driving was easy (amazingly few cars on the road), the roads well marked and the parks organized nicely for self driving. In my ratings of the various accommodations I was grouping B&Bs and lodges separately in my mind and not comparing them so that an excellent in a B&B would have no bearing on the same rating in a lodge.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Your service and help was excellent and could not be improved upon. The one suggestion, however, would be to focus a bit more on the activity level desired by your clients. We would have enjoyed a more physically demanding trip, i.e. more hiking and less driving.

Unquestionably we were fortunate to have hooked up with Expert Africa. Thank you again and again." Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip

"S19º13'22,0'' E23º23'20,7''"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 22 Oct 2013 and 10 Nov 2013
"We had this trip on our bucket list for some time, i.e., visiting the Caprivi (Namibia) and getting into Botswana through the Okavango Panhandle and then transverse Moremi and Chobe all the way by 4WD (the rough way). Roughly 4530Km in 18 days.

The Caprivi is definitely a totally different part of Namibia - landscape, people, flora and fauna - you feel immersed in real Africa. The Nkasa-Lupala National Park (alias Mamili NP) is indeed a true hidden gem, where you can experience dry and wet ecosystems /environments. However game is (still) not so abundant as in the Okavango /Moremi.

The Panhandle was marvelous. We had the Okavango for ourselves. Boat trips into the channels are mandatory and they will not disappoint . The birding is superb.

Crossing Moremi into Chobe Savuti and Chobe river front was a trip within a trip in itself. What an experience. It just enriched us as kin travelers to Africa. S19º13'22,0'' E23º23'20,7´´ was the place where we got stuck with our 4WD. No matter how prepared we feel we are, how careful we can be, in Africa, the unexpected can really happen and for that one should be minimally prepared. This comes with proper advise and planning - Expert Africa has done it again, phenomenally - thank you." "Excellence again from EA"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 26 Sep 2013 and 10 Oct 2013
"This was another excellent trip to Southern Africa organised for us by Expert Africa. Thank you Gwynneth. The advice from EA concerning 2WD versus 4WD vehicles for this trip was appropriate. The lodges were of a standard equal to or better than our expectations, especially the Garden Lodge in Kasane where our guides John and Innocent provided expert advice and guidance. The section of the trip after leaving the hire car in Kasane progessed smoothly and the cross border transfer into Zambia was effected efficiently. The transport arrived on time in Kasane as did the transfer from the Zambezi Sun to Livingstone airport., As noted earlier, at no stage were we asked for the Yellow Fever Certificates." "My Sept 2013 trip"

I visited Namibia between 22 Sep 2013 and 11 Oct 2013
"The overall experience exceeded my expectations. I was unusually critical of each place we stayed but it is only because you asked for feedback. I mentioned that Waterberg plateau camp rooms had cockroaches but is it fair to expect a place in the middle of a desert in Africe to not have bugs? The only things that would prevent me from going back to the Waterberg camp was the baboons, not the bugs.

I dealt primarily with Saskia Adye, but she wasn't on your list of team members so I chose her sister instead.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

The service was excellent! The only thing I would suggest (and Saskia made have mentioned this but I didn't hear her) was to be prepared for cold weather, especially during early morning game drives. I wasn't prepared for such cold weather in the mornings and suffered a bit until the sun came up. A warm coat, gloves, scarf and a hat would have been nice and easy to pack."
