"Kayaking with seals"

Based at The Stiltz on 4 Oct 2010
"The kit is a bit on the old and used side, but Jeanne made up for it all with her personality, and we had a super morning on the water.

Note that the meeting place is not quite as described - worth checking with her to get it right; I think it was a different coffee house." Read more about this whole safari

"an experience!"

13 Sep 2010
"Great experience, though very short due to strong winds...again just luck of the draw.

Advanced information on what to wear/bring, not to wear etc would have been helpful.

Very knowledgeable guide.

Please see earlier comment re correct meeting point." Read more about this whole safari

"Please can we do it again"

Based at The Stiltz on 11 Oct 2010
"This was great. Very well organised by Jeanne who thought of everything, including a bush toilet for the ladies. As very inexperienced kayakers the female amongst us was nervous but quickly reassured by Jeanne's competence and professionalism. She made it a great experience and even took photographs for us which were sitting in our inbox when we got home." Read more about this whole safari

"Kayaking at Pelican Point"

Based at Cornerstone Guesthouse on 4 Oct 2010
"Woke up to horrible cold weather in Swakopmund and really didn't want to go kayaking. Even worse when we got out of the car at the beach to freezing force ten gale! But Jeanne had plenty of warm clothing, waterproof shoes and even woolly hats, so we were warm and toasty while in the kayaks. Lovely gentle pace, plenty of time to take in the frolicking seals and got really close to the colonies.

The drive to the beach was also a real highlight - Jeanne was really informative and pointed out loads of interesting sights.

This trip came highly recommended and fully met expectations." Read more about this whole safari

"A wonderful way to see the seals and dolphins"

Based at Cornerstone Guesthouse on 26 Aug 2010
"A lovely morning. I'd have liked to stay out longer than the 1.5 hours we had
Jeanne was a great host. She took photos and emailed them to us for our return

We did a sandboarding trip in the afternoon - the kids' favourite part, I think. We had a great time too. The instructors were great fun and looked after us well" Read more about this whole safari

"Brilliant Kayaking! - Highlight of trip!"

Based at Sam's Giardino on 10 Aug 2010
"Jeanne, who took us, was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. She gave us a great experience - we all thoroughly enjoyed the ride across to Pelican Point (it's quite a long way on sand to get to where you can launch the kayaks - not just a nip across the bay, but it's interesting to see flamigoes and salt pans along the route!).

Don't miss this if you go to Swakopmund - kayaking and a baby seal allowing me to touch its whiskers, was for me personally, on a par with seeing rhinos at close quarters in Etosha!" Read more about this whole safari

"A Namibian highlight"

Based at Sam's Giardino on 9 Aug 2010
"Nothing could fault this truely unique and excellent experience.

Jeanne was very well organised and very professional. Her knowledge and enthusiasm were excellent. She seemed to know the thousand odd seals, pelicans and cormorants personally not to mention the odd dolphin for good measure!
The kayaking was safe even for novices and we were all very well looked after.

Interaction with the seals just an amazing experience. If you only have one full day in Swakopmund (plenty) then do this activity - you won't regret it. Photos are taken by Jeanne and emailed to you so a nice keepsake of the day, which also means that you don't have to juggle with the camera whilst kayaking!" Read more about this whole safari
