"End of a great holiday."

2 nights Arrived 23 Sep 2012
"The granite outcrops in this area create a most unusual landscape with the tents scattered amongst the boulders. The tents have recently been replaced and are not as attractive as the previous ones.but adequately appointed.

Because of the position amongst the rocks it was quite a climb to and from tent and restaurant.

The amount of game to be seen was very limited apart from Damara dik dik and Klipspringer, however the geology and flora were of interest." See all these reviews: 18n in Namibia

"Erongo is a very good, well run camp"

2 nights Arrived 22 Sep 2012
"The Erongo Wilderness Camp is in a splendidly isolated situation. The accomodation is very good, we had chalet no. 10 with a great view back over the plain. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a pleasant, guided early morning walk and spent the afternoon following the well marked trails around the area of the camp. We can recommend the "Eagle" path as this gives good views of the surrounding area. The bird watching was good, only a few animals but we will definitely visit this camp again" See all these reviews: 22n in Namibia

"Brilliant stay at Erongo"

1 night Arrived 20 Sep 2012
"A great experience. Tented lodges were excellent with large outside sitting area. Excellent bathroom in spite of the warning about Zebra snakes being able to climb in but has not occured yet but have to warn guests.

Good evening drive to Paula's cave to see rock paintings and have sundowners. Sundowner walk available. Excellent dinner on return. Morning walk included, excellent guide and good breakfast on return.

No great rush for one to leave rooms and the whole experience was one to be repeated if we get the chance and staying longer." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia

"Erongo Wilderness Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 19 Sep 2012
"Beautiful location and a lovely camp. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Food excellent.

We did not take advantage of the free guided walks here but went on a nature/scenic drive (game is fairly sparse here but they don't pretend otherwise and the scenery makes up for it).

This and Mushara were both close seconds to Hoodia and we'd certainly stay here again." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia

"Return to Erongo"

1 night Arrived 11 Sep 2012
"New managers (2 weeks in role) greeted us warmly and we were able to select our own tented room as only one other couple staying that night. Much improved since last visit 5 years ago as tents no longer thatched but made of canvas with much larger decking area to admire stunning views. Proper lockable doors ensured security.

Enjoyed walk with knowledgeable guide to view sunset and saw baboon troop, cliffspringer and the ubiquitous hyrax. Given bottle of champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary and enjoyed a delicious dinner outside near the lit boma. Good attention to detail - partially unlit walkway due to temporary shortage of bulbs was rectified by staff for return trip after dinner. All staff cheerful and helpful." "The Beauty of Erongo"

2 nights Arrived 27 Aug 2012
"The information provided by Expert Africa did a superb job of preparing us for this Lodge.

It was a comfortable drive from the airport and the welcome was both warm and informative. The lodge manager was away but the relief managers Kubus and his wife Martha were excellent and could not do enough to make us comfortable, especially in helping me get medical help when I needed it.

Some of the tents, including the one allocated to us have been upgraded and there were some problems such as the door blowing open in high wind due to a poor fit. The problems will be sorted out very soon. The location is stunning and the guides Johnny and Culis did an excllent job in helping us get the most from our stay. Food was of a high standard and eating out under the stars a delight. Timo and Baliria in the resturant were attentive and friendly.

The nature drive is just that, but this understates the beauty of the area and the photographic opportunities it presents. We could easily have spent more time here and would return without hesitation.

All tents have good views but No 10 is the one to go for!" See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia

"Erongo Wilderness Lodge review"

"Having stayed here on our honeymoon three years ago, we knew what it would be like.

They have upgraded the rooms so they are really spacious but I think it loses a little of the romance that the old style rooms had." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

"Very chilly Erongo!"

1 night Arrived 15 Aug 2012
"A stunning location.

The staff were welcoming, although it would have been helpful to have been told the cost of the evening drive when we hurriedly agreed to go on it. The drive, with a walk to see 'Paula's Cave (?)' was excellent, the guide Coolas informative and entertaining. It was a freezing cold night, so a log fire at dinner in the main lodge was most welcome.

The tents were very cold though, in spite of the hot water bottles supplied. We slept in our clothes and used all the extra blankets etc! I wish we'd heeded the advice to take gloves....After a chilly start the next morning, we had a great walk with the guide Johnny. Again, interesting and fun. We left by 10am but it was a very memorable stay." See all these reviews: 7n in Namibia
