"Erongo Wilderness Lodge review"

1 night Arrived 9 Dec 2016
"Wilderness is a bit of mis-description as the location is not far from Omaruru. They have piped water from the municipality, (faulty at the time of our visit) and mains electricity.

We were shuttled the last kilometre to reception in a 4X4.

Access to the tents(rooms) is up steep paths/steps which were tricky in the dark.

No activities." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia; 6n in South Africa

"Beautiful tents amongst the rocks"

2 nights Arrived 23 Nov 2016
"Beautifully appointed tents set amongst stunning rocky hills. The accommodation had a great sitting out area where we could relax and watch the many birds, lizards etc.which we were most content to do rather than attempt the well defined walking trails available on what were very hot days.

The camp's restaurant and bar area was comfortable and when the weather was good, dining on the terrace overlooking a floodlit water hole and beneath a star studded sky was wonderful.

All the camp staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We felt very welcome and well looked after." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia; 4n in Botswana

"Beautiful setting, knowlegable guides"

2 nights Arrived 1 Nov 2016
"Erongo wilderness Lodge was probably our favorite place to stay in Nambia and a nice ending point to an exciting trip. The tent cabins nestled in the hills are charming, with stunning outdoor bathrooms and showers. The food in the dining room was the best we had in a whole month of visiting Namibia, with unique types of food and courses and lovely presentations of the food for dinner and breakfast. The management team is quire professional but the guides for the walks were fabulous.

We did 3 guided walks with 2 different guides and learned so much about the geology, ecology, wildlife, baboon behavior, local cultural insights and just generally thoughtful good company. We were one of the few groups to stay multiple nights and were glad we did, but the staff was very accommodating to those overnighters to maximize their experience in those shorter times. We would definitely recommend this to anyone.

The rooms are warm without any AC but the fans help and they cool down nicely in the evening. the dining room bar provide a well ventilated relaxing area in the heat of the day and they are generous in providing snacks and cool beverages for the course of the day." "Erongo Wilderness Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 24 Oct 2016
"A wonderful camp in a spectacular setting.

The tents are beautifully furnished; ours (no 10) had e large wooden veranda and views down the valley. We had a very warm welcome from everyone and the atmosphere is great. We did the sundowner walk (gin and tonic on top of the mountains) and the early morning nature walk, both of which were spectacular with knowledgeable and friendly guides.

We thought this was the best camp we had stayed in in Namibia and can't wait to go back." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"Bouldered over by this camp"

2 nights Arrived 22 Oct 2016
"This was the camp with the best setting of our trip. Weathered granite outcrops provide a surreal landscape within which nestle the tented chalets.

One wall of our bathroom was a boulder. Every tent has a view of the landscape. Wooden walkways lead you up and down and over boulders. The restaurant is up fifty steps but provides a spectacular view over the terrain and a small waterhole.

Activities included a choice of morning guided walks, way marked trails and a late afternoon visit to a local cave containing painted rock art." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

"Unique and wonderful place to stay"

1 night Arrived 21 Oct 2016
"This was a lovely place to spend our final night in Namibia. The accommodation blends almost seemlessly with the surrounds making it feel at one with the environment.

The room itself was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom that was partly open to the air (whilst maintaining privacy!).

The restaurant and pool area was well laid out and comfortable for relaxing.

We went on the sundowner walk and also the 2 hour morning nature walk. Both of these were very good with knowledgeable and friendly guides (Emmanuel on the morning walk). The landscape in this area really has to be seen to be appreciated - we were very glad to be able to see it and explore a little on the walks.
The food was very good (especially the evening meal)." See all these reviews: 11n in Namibia
