"Frans Indongo Lodge"

1 night Arrived 23 Feb 2008
"The only reason for our being at Frans Indongo Lodge was to use it as a base to visit the Cheetah Conservation Fund. We had made several phone calls in advance to arrange things but when we arrived, we discovered problems. So we had to settle for a quick visit to the education centre and a walk around the facilities at the CCF. This was very disappointing - we don't know whose fault it was, but visitors should be warned. A jeep ride through the open areas to see cheetahs needs to be planned in advance, and the weekends can be a problem. Also Frans Indongo Lodge is quite a long drive away from the CCF.

The Lodge was luxurious and comfortable and the service was good. There was a largish group of tourists there when we were, and it may be the sort of place that attracts groups because of its facilities and ease of access.

Breakfast was very good. We bought our own food for dinner (from a nearby town) and the room was very spacious and comfortable to eat in." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia

"Frans Indongo Lodge review"

1 night Arrived 3 Jan 2008
"A nice clean and efficient camp which offered a relaxing one night stay between other places.

We didn't do the game drive as we thought it would be a bit 'tame' after Etosha and it was nice sitting watching the waterhole instead.

The lodge is 15mins from a Cape Griffin conservation project which offered a very enjoyable and informative couple of hours (although we were informed that the project is moving to another farm which will mean it will be about an hrs. drive from the lodge - not so convenient)." "Frans Indongo Lodge review"

1 night Arrived 25 Oct 2007
"This is more like a very upmarket hotel than a lodge but as such it was excellent. It was my birthday when we arrived and my daughter had emailed them to see if they could do anything to celebrate it and they really were lovely. There was champagne and 4 glasses in the room - flowers on the bed - and they had made a huge chocolate cake which we had with a cup of tea. My only caveat is that the animal side is more like woburn safari park but if you disregard that and just see it as a restful and fairly luxurious end to the holiday then that's OK." "Frans Indongo Lodge is the best"

2 nights Arrived 25 Oct 2007
"Fabulous way to finish off our holiday. Great accommodation, amazing food, very good service and good value for money
had two trips, one game drive which we enjoyed althoughit is a very different setting to etendeka and etosha.

Felt the driver got a bit close to the rhinos. Not so concerned for our personal safetly, more that we were encroaching on their space.

Well organised trip to the CCF. If you do go to CCF make sure you see the orphans in the very large enclosures (has to be booked via lodge) rather than just those few in intensive care in the centre. Very relaxing last couple of days." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia

"A good first Stop"

2 nights Arrived 23 Sep 2007
"Nice 'hotel like' lodge with helpful hosts and enjoyable food. Lacked character in terms of surrounding location and general design. Beige bathroom could have been anywhere in the world!

Didn't participate in any activities except the self guided walks so not qualified to comment on the whole exprience on offer. Hosts very helpful about suggesting walks above and beyond the standard route offered on the property and staff attentive." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia
