Avani Pemba Beach: Our full report

Previously known as the Pemba Beach Hotel, Avani Pemba Beach is on a quiet side of the town, a short drive ...

... from the airport. It is convenient and surprisingly good if you need to spend a night in Pemba before heading on to a nearby beach location.

It stands beside the ocean and has many rooms that vary in style, space and views depending on the category or room type. There are landscaped gardens to wander through, and a very reasonable restaurant that offers different cuisines and scenic views of the Indian Ocean. The interior is stylish and the menus are diverse.

Besides the dining facilities, you can also enjoy the brand new spa, that opened in September 2014 with a contemporary feel.
