"Great location, outstanding guiding."
Ms F fromCalifornia, USAArrived 16 Sep 2024, 3 nights
Saruni Samburu has one of the most awe-inspiring locations in Kenya thanks to its uninterrupted views over the conservancy. The lodge makes all it can of this, and has an openness that allows for a fantastic mix of outdoors living with a high degree of style. It's a luxurious option, but is very unpretentious and has a relaxing atmosphere. This, twinned with the exclusivity of the conservancy, makes Saruni Samburu a great choice for this area. However it's worth noting that this exclusivity also means that it is quite a long drive to the best game-viewing areas in the Samburu ecosystem. See our full report on Saruni Samburu

"Excellent staff. Martin was a jewel."
TravellerfromCanadaArrived 27 Nov 2019, 3 nights
Saruni Rhino offers an unparalleled experience in East Africa and enables guests to contribute actively to rhino conservation. The rhino tracking is exhilarating, very proficiently conducted by the well-trained guiding team. The lodge itself is very comfortable, but it's also simple and very remote – and we would recommend this if you enjoy travelling to areas off the beaten path. See our full report on Saruni Rhino

Saruni Rhino to the Mara by 4WD & light aircraft
After a leisurely 1–2-hour game drive to Samburu Kalama Airstrip, board a flight across the majestic Rift Valley, landing amidst the widllife-rich plains of the Mara ecosystem after 60–90 minutes. It's then a further 40–90 minutes by 4WD to Saruni Wild, watching for wildlife with a guide from camp.
Saruni Wild
Saruni Wild is located in the Lemek Conservancy, on the border of neighbouring Mara North Conservancy, close to the Mara North airstrip. The location provides a wildlife-rich experience particularly between July and September when the wildebeest migration moves into the Mara. With just five simple tents, Saruni Wild is also one of the smallest and most intimate safari camps in Kenya.

"Had zebra trot within a few meters of our tent, and heard lions roaring at night"
Mrs RfromBathArrived 22 Aug 2022, 3 nights
It's hard to think of a camp in the Mara that is as remote as Saruni Wild. We loved its simplicity and were impressed by the standards of guiding and hosting. Though it's larger and more permanent than a fly-camp, it has that kind of feel and works really well in combination with a longer stay at the more established Saruni Mara. The result would be a really varied experience and for those looking for a touch of adventure we think this is a really fun option. See our full report on Saruni Wild
