Mara Serena Safari Lodge: picture gallery

Mara Serena Safari Lodge has all the features and facilities of a large, international hotel.
The main area is all smooth curves, in yellow, ochre, brown and white.
The décor mixes 70s kitsch with ethnic tributes to the Maasai.
Meals are served in the dining area…
…though you can have a drink on the veranda, with its huge views.
The meals are standard lodge fare, usually served buffet-style.
The lodge has a good (if chilly) swimming pool, with great views of the Mara River
…and a scattering of sunloungers.
Mara Serena Safari Lodge has 74 small, en-suite rooms…
…each with the same faux-Maasai architecture.
Rooms include a double or twin beds…
…and French windows.
They're all equipped with dressing tables…
…and tea and coffee-making facilities.
Some rooms also have a small veranda…
…looking east across the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
The bathrooms are tiny, but fully equipped…
…and include a walk-in shower.
