"My Jan 2024 trip"

I visited Kenya between 13 Jan 2024 and 29 Jan 2024
"I highly recommend working with Expert Africa to organize an African safari.

Richard was extremely knowledgable about Kenya, all the possible camps, and was there from start to finish with good advice.

This was the second trip my family has taken with Expert Africa. My wife and daughter went to Namibia in Feb. 2022, when Covid restrictions were easing, and had an excellent self-drive safari.

If we go back, we would happily consult with Expert Africa again (though I am disappointed that they don't offer safaris in northern South Africa, including the Kruger area, since we may well want to bring our grandchildren someday and perhaps would like to be able to mix a Kruger conservancy with Zambia's South Luangwa area, or try the malaria-free Marakele area)." "My Jan 2024 trip"

I visited Kenya between 13 Jan 2024 and 29 Jan 2024
"This trip was clearly very well designed, to take us from the "beginner safari" of Nairobi National Park with the lights of the city in the distance to the intense life of the Kicheche camps with morning and afternoon drives. And ending with the comfort of Loldia house was perfect.

This was my first safari and I was surely spoiled by the people and the sights--I didn't really think I'd be seeing elephants walk past my bedroom window!

Not really -- this trip was a logistical feat and not one ball was dropped.

Thanks for a great trip." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 13 on a Kenya safari

"My Jan 2024 trip"

I visited Kenya between 10 Jan 2024 and 22 Jan 2024
"I keep saying that my next safari will be my last safari…other places to see and do, etc. etc. But I’m no sooner done with safari than it is done with me. I was already planning the next one on the 5th day of this one! And I know I’ll reach out to Richard. It could not be a more seamless, positive experience than dropping Richard an email and knowing he’ll get all the details right. And he does.

When I was unsure about combining Lewa and Ol Pejeta (I thought them to be too “samey”) he put my mind at ease and now that I’ve experienced them myself, he was absolutely right. His guidance and feedback are completely on point. This itinerary was wonderful and delivered on everything I’d hoped to see and do. Rhinos, varied landscapes, stunning camps, a return to my beloved Mara — this had it all.

I’ll drop you an email in a few months, Richard! Safari 2025 beckons!

"My Jan 2024 trip"

I visited Kenya between 7 Jan 2024 and 18 Jan 2024
"I had an incredible trip and would (and have) recommended Expert Africa and the locations I traveled to to others.

The animal sightings, which were the driving force behind my desire to travel to Kenya, were beyond my wildest dreams.

I felt escorted through each step on my itinerary, which was very important to me as I was traveling solo.

I greatly appreciated the support I received and plan to return to Africa in the not-so-distant future.

"My Dec 2023 trip"

I visited Kenya between 18 Dec 2023 and 5 Jan 2024
"My trip to Kenya (Dec 23 - Jan 24) was amazing and I had an exceptional time. I was delighted from the moment that I made initial contact with Claire Scott - Expert Africa to the conclusion of my trip. The safari was expertly organised and I enjoyed every moment.

Kenya, and the properties that I stayed at, gave me the most wonderful experiences. The people are amazing, friendly, kind and beyond welcoming. The camps exceptional, the scenery simply stunning and the wildlife opportunities breathtaking.

Sadly no Wild Dogs on this trip, but I was so fortunate to see Giza; a lioness carrying her cubs; a leopard with a cub; a bull elephant lying down in front of us and going to sleep; a sighting with 3 leopards and 2 male lions; an African Wild Cat; and so much more .... An amazing trip, with incredible memories. I met so many like minded people, wide-eyed and in awe of what this amazing country has to offer.

I can not thank enough Claire, Expert Africa, Kicheche, Laikipia Wilderness, and everyone who made this trip happen. I am already planning my next trip. Claire, let's talk!" Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 17 on a Kenya safari

"My Dec 2023 pre-holiday trip"

I visited Kenya between 14 Dec 2023 and 23 Dec 2023
"This was a bucket list trip and celebration of my daughter beating cancer so Richard really got to know us and what we were looking for and then built a truly extraordinary adventure in Kenya that blew away any expectations we could have had.

Everything was effortless except for getting shillings out of an ATM which was a big fail but besides that the trip couldn't have been easier thanks to all the upfront planning work and the recommendations, guides, literature and everything provided by Richard and the Expert Africa team.

I have already shared this info with many friends considering a trip and will continue to do so. THANK YOU!

"Rainy Kenya"

I visited Kenya between 19 Nov 2023 and 1 Dec 2023
"This trip was booked last minute on a bit of a whim in October. I had not found anywhere that I wanted to go to in November and for some reason looked at the Expert Africa website. I then discovered the price comparison graph, where I found out that November is low season, making the camps we had been to last year in high season, much more affordable. Moreover, Kicheche had a 6 nights for the price of 5 offer on, so the germ of an idea was born.

Richard was able to confirm availability for 6 nights, but midweek to midweek, which seemed like a bit of a waste of annual leave, so with a bit of juggling, we got a 10 night (on safari, 12 nights including travel/airport) trip at a much more affordable price. It was a bit odd not booking a year in advance, but it shows what is possible.

It was certainly wetter than we anticipated, particularly in Laikipia. The rains in the Mara were a bit more what we expected, although it did rain non-stop overnight on several occasions. I now know why the camps provide Wellington boots and umbrellas! This made for a unique safari, but rain brings its' own set of photographic issues, that we had to learn about and fast.

All of the Kicheche safari camps are very well run and welcoming and this trip cemented in our minds how good Kenya is for safari, particularly with Kicheche." Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 12 on a Kenya safari
