"Our Aug 2024 trip - Panhandle, Moremi, Savuti and "
I visited Botswana between 24 Aug 2024 and 7 Sep 2024
"Our safari was perfect, topping and tailing the excitement of the mobile safari with some more conventional lodges.
Lucy was extremely helpful in putting together this itinerary. She helpfully guided us away from a “single species” safari and that led us to consider her suggestion of the Private Mobile Safaris which we enjoyed so much that we are already planning another safari with him. We organised our own flights to and from the UK and Lucy very kindly and unprompted arranged for a meet and greet at Johannesburg airport which was extremely useful in speeding us on our journey.
Lucy was good at humouring us with our preference for land transfers and these were very successful and enjoyable (albeit sometimes in a bone shaking way). We saw parts of Chobe that we wouldn’t otherwise see, saw species we otherwise might not have seen, and we gained an appreciation for the size of the park.
She also dealt well with our special requests and liaising with Andrew.

"We explored going to Africa with numerous outfitters and specifically selected Expert Africa because of Megan and how she explained the variety of experiences! She was attentive, patient and friendly! She explained each experience in detail and catered to exactly what we wanted for this trip. Her detailing was on point- she was accurate in her depictions of each activity. And, they lived up to her high praises. She held our hand through packing and preparing for the trip as well!

"Our safari in Botswana was incredible from start to finish. Maruska really listened to my initial inquiries, helped us figure out if Botswana was the right destination for us, and then worked to find three different camps that would give us a variety of experiences and locales. I felt like Maruska understood what we were looking for in the trip & personalized her recommendations. That made all the difference!
From the moment we landed at the Maun airport until the moment we returned there, someone was always watching out for us. When one member of our party became ill, the camp contacted Maruska. With Expert Africa on our side, we knew we were in good hands. Fortunately, he recovered quickly, but it was worth every penny to know Expert Africa would have taken care of us if things had gone differently.
Meanwhile, the Botswana safari was everything we hoped for and more. Despite everything going on in the wilderness, because there are not many people, there is a serenity to the experience -- a pace of taking what comes next, of being immersed in the balance of nature's day-to-day existence. We awoke to lions roaring, watched a mother leopard supervise her cub, followed wild dogs on a hunt, shared a watering hole with herd after herd of elephants, and so much more. But it's the overall experience that has stayed with me the most -- just the being there, a visitor is another world.

I visited Zimbabwe and 4 other countries between 8 Jun 2024 and 29 Jun 2024
"Overall the trip was great and very organized. Maruska was great to deal with, really listened to us and gave good suggestions. I liked the itinerary she sent us shortly before we left that gave lots of details about exactly what was happening. There were a few glitches during the trip (canceled flight, driver showed up late) and we had to reach out to Expert Africa on an emergency basis and they were very responsive.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
I would not return to the lodges that we stayed in in Zimbabwe, we didn't have a great experience there. There was a mix up with Khulu Bush Camp and our departure time was moved back and we were never told, that ended up being a very long day and we would have preferred to fly. Two of our travel days were very long and we never got to eat lunch, it was not clear from the itinerary how long they would be. Our Mack Air flights ended up having multiple stops that we weren't aware of, it would have been nice to have more information about those flights." "My May 2024 trip"

"We visited 3 different camps in 9 days (3 at each camp). Since we had no knowledge of what areas to visit in Botswana, Megan from Expert Africa was extremely helpful. The arrangements were perfect with no hassles at all. Little Machaba, Savute Under Canvas and Pelo Camp had great locations, excellent staff and very nice facilities (considering their locations).
We've seen volcanos up close in Iceland and we thought that was our favorite vacation memory until we visited Botswana and saw the amazing African birds and wildlife.
