"Hyena Pan review"
He managed to find a leopard with cubs on our first game drive followed by 2 sets of lion cubs and wild dogs!
Food was good and accommodation comfortable but not flashy. Described as "rustic" which I think is probably a good term for it.
We didn't go to Sky Beds due to risk of rain on that particular night. We did however visit the hide which was particularly memorable.
There was a drive through the Mopana forest from camp every time we went out for a game drive but actually we didn't find that a problem. It's not that far and we saw animals in the forest too.
Highlight was arriving and within minutes elephants walking right up to the lounge area - amazing!" See all these reviews: 8n in Botswana; 3n in Zimbabwe

"Lovely holiday mixed with poor food"
Our only criticism was the food - the quality was sub-standard and unfortunately, as our group were last to eat after arriving a little late at meal times, there was not enough food or choices of food left for us. One evening most of the food was finished leaving some of our party little food to eat. Breakfast the next day again had no fruit salad leftover and little other choice on offer and again on our second evening at the camp, the food was poor and most dishes were finished when we arrived. We did challenge the staff and all they could say was that there was no other food available.
Overall we had a great stay but were entirely unhappy with the food quality and availability of choice and sufficient food." See all these reviews: 4n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe
"Botswana was in the middle of a heatwave"
Con- Far from game viewing, not sure it was worth it but we got to see wild dogs! All of our drives were outside of the private reserve so quite long to get to and from.
Pro- The staff was amazing and went out of their way to accomodate our requests. We had Russel who was the most amazing guide and really added to our trip. We do hope to keep in touch with him.
Con/ Pro- I think it would have been great if Expert Africa asked if we wanted a private or group safari. This was our first group safari so the time table was dictated to us. That being said we met amazing people, obnoxious people, and hilarious people we otherwise would not have met. Tons of stories to tell :)
Pro- The watering hold at hyena pan bringing the elephants up close and personal.
Pro- We felt away from it all which was nice." See all these reviews: 7n in Namibia; 4n in Botswana
"Many Elephants at Hyena Pan"
"A relaxing camp - Hyena Pan"
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere here as the staff were attentive without hovering unnecessarily.
Our guides were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It is good when the guides remember to speak to guests when the vehicle is stopped rather than when the vehicle is moving. It would have been good to have seen the hide too." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia; 4n in Botswana; 3n in Zambia; 1n in South Africa
