"Our honeymoon overall"
Huge thanks to Chris at Expert Africa for his great advice, and to Ann Lederman for her help and efficiency in booking the trip. I will be recommending Expert Africa!" Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 11 on a Zanzibar holiday
"Our magical trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar"
We really feel that it is not an overreaction to say to you NOT to recommend Matermwe Bungalows until the new management have found their feet and sorted a few of the issues out (staff, stocks of drink etc). - otherwise it will only resort in more dissatisfied customers and the place getting a bad name.
Great brochure and website. Claire was most helpful. Fantastic advise given regarding the Selous Impala camp - it way exceeded our expectations, so much so that my parents and relations may be considering going out to that very camp in the autumn this year!
We were unfortunate with our stay at Matemwe Bungalows - presumably you didn't know of any plans for a change of management when we booked last November ??
Thanks though - on the whole a totally fab holiday" Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 5 on a Tanzania safari
"Trip to mountain gorillas"
The gorilla tracking was unforgettable, and worth every penny. The official guides were very good. We also enjoyed the golden monkey trip, and would recommend this itinerary (monkeys first, then gorillas) as it allows you to acclimatise a bit.
We spent two nights in Nairobi before going to Rwanda, which also helped to get used to the altitude." Read full review: 4 nights in Africa; 4 on a Rwanda safari

"Main objectives achieved"
On occasions the distances for driving were rather long and tedious. Surfaced roads wre good with little fraffic. Graveled roads varied from good where recently graded to awful with rather more of the latter than former. Return journey was a nightmare." Read full review: 20 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip
"Thank you for an outstanding holiday"
The holiday organisation was absolutely superb and we have nothing but praise for the team at Expert Africa. We stayed in 5 /6 different locations and every transfer was done on time with the minimum amount of holiday time being wasted.
Our 8 days safari in Southern Tanzania was by far the best element and Beho Beho will go down as one of our favourite places in the world. Your recommendations for visiting Selous was just right.
In retrospect we wish we had done a little bit more research on Zanzibar and what we were looking for in the relaxation resort. Having spent 8 nights in the bush we would have liked somewhere with some evening activity, if only some music playing or a local bar to walk to. Our fault and something we have learnt for the future. We still had a good time but this would have made it absolutely perfect.
A big thank you to everyone at Expert Africa for a great holiday. We will not hesitate in recommending you to anyone wishing to travel to Africa.

I would however rate the Bushcamp company much higher and the service felt alot more personal than with Norman Carr Safaris. All the staff at the Bushcamp company, including Andy the owner couldn't have done anything more to make my stay more enjoyable.
I went on my own as a single traveller and they did all they could to make sure I never felt out of place." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 8 on a Zambia safari
"Jambo"
We did know that the third resort had not been visited by your staff at the time of booking." Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 11 on a Tanzania safari

The route we took was by far the best way to do it. It was our first experience of Wilderness Safaris and we enjoyed their camps and lodges enormously. As always a lot is down to the staff at the lodges and we would particularly like to single out Patries the manager and Johann our guide at Kulala, Florentia (assistant manager) & Jefta(our guide) at Doro Nawas, Rosi at the Stilz and Arnold our guide at Okinjima - these guys were stars!
A minor point is that on occassion we weren't always sure what we were supposed to pay for and what was inclusive - the terms full board & half board didn't always explain - sometimes water was free, other times we were billed for it for example. However none of our bar bills came to very much and we certainly didn't get the impression we were being charged a lot (apart from at Wolwedans where they tried to charge us £30 for a bottle of wine we didn't have! but they're not Wilderness Safaris!) but it's worth mentioning to you.
I'm already thinking about my next trip and Expert Africa will be my first stop. We also found Chris McIntyre's book excellent - we'd have been lost without it. Thank you!" Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 12 on a Namibia trip
