"We had two wonderful safari weeks in Botswana.

We saw so many different animals, experienced beautiful sunsets and moonrises, and we were spoilt in the beautiful camps with wonderful food, friendly people and amazing locations.

The trip was thoughtfully planned to let us experience different regions and landscapes of Botswana. Everything worked out well.

We have so many great memories and tons of photos to remember this perfect holiday.

"It felt like hard work this time, a combination of an uncomfortable vehicle and almost extreme temperatures probably caused this. Everyone said the park was quiet. As we only had a week there is no slack to catch up on missed sightings. This is the second time we have seen a leopard, but no cheetah at all this time. Lion sightings were very good. We saw nine lions in total, of which three were repeat sightings on another day or trip. We met someone who only saw 7 in two weeks. There is a lot of luck involved. Nossob was the least productive area no cat sightings and very sparse in general.

We enjoyed the trip and especially spending 1.75 hours with a pair of lions at Craig Lockhart, who then disappeared after that sighting.

Bird sightings were down, one owl, couple of bateleur eagles, but plenty of tawny and some vultures for the first time.

I mentioned queuing to get out into the park this seemed more time consuming. The roads were not well maintained on the Nossob side, which makes driving tiring.

I wonder whether the park is too full? They are supposed to be building more picnic sights which will break up journeys. This year Auchterlonie toilets was having a refurb so out of commission. "We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Namibia. Expert Africa organised it so that we did quite a lot of our own driving, which is what we wanted, but broke up the trip with a few fully inclusive stays at lodges. This meant that after lots of long journeys when we were quite independent, we were able to stay put and take advantage of the wonderful service and activities at the various lodges and camps.

Sometimes it's tempting to do it all your own way, but I think what we learned was that if you let a guide share his local knowledge with you, you gain a huge amount which you then take with you to the next place. Learning as you go, you can't help but look at everything differently and you gain so much enjoyment from it.

I would say do as many activities as you can.

All aspects of the trip were seamless and all arrangements made by Expert Africa worked perfectly. We travelled a huge number of kilometres, saw some stunning landscapes, and enjoyed lots of wildlife particularly in the north.

"This was our fourth trip to Namibia with Expert Africa over about 20 years. It was a great trip.

Previously we had driven ourselves around but this time we visited a remote camp in each of Damaraland and the Skeleton Coast and travelled by small planes. These transfers (and the road transfers to and from Windhoek Airport) worked like clockwork.

We travelled in April which undoubtedly reduced the amount of game we saw. We were told that much of it had temporarily left the areas around the camps while water was available elsewhere.

"I have to admit that the wildlife was not overwhelming--I knew the rainy season would have an effect, but I think we were also just unlucky.

I'm sure in the dry season the Hwange camps in particular, with their waterfalls, would offer outstanding experiences. That said, the landscape was lovely--despite the drought, there had been recent rains in Hwange to green up the plains (and also create standing water) and there were several highlights to remember--the group of sable (an antelope I had never seen), the jackals and dozens of vultures diving into the bushes where the remains of a buffalo lay, then exploding outward as someone took fright--the highly vocal lion cubs yowling and yowling--the staredown between a giraffe and lion. . .
