"Quite a long drive but good overnight stop to recover from long journey before heading out on a mobile trip"

"Our 2nd trip with Andrew and his team but new to the Kalahari. Fantastic, loved the wild scenery and how remote it was.

A very dry year so worrying for the wildlife so maybe less sighting than usual but still what we saw was great.

Very well looked after, excellent food, Andrew is a very knowledgeable guide and an excellent host .

Cannot recommend highly enough as long as you are up for long drives. You will not be disappointed."

"We only stayed 2 nights arriving late and leaving early but a lovely camp . Great location, spacious tents and most importantly the staff were great . The owner managers very much around and leading a great team. The game is much less here so go mainly for the scenery , canoeing and walking in a lovely setting and you won’t be disappointed. Food was excellent with a special meal on our last night. Hopefully over the coming years the game will improve making it a superb camp in every respect .
One lovely touch was we were a group of 6 and ended up on a short flight in a 4 seater so 2 journeys to our next camp .We were asked if we minded if one of their guides who had never been on a plane could do the return trip - it was a delight to see his excitement , his big smile said it all and to us showed how much care they took of their staff. Worth a visit for sure."

"Fantastic camp the nests are amazing and so different . We have stayed in many places but this was one of the best small camps. Issac was a great guide and Faith as the manager ran a very friendly team all of whom looked happy and the place ran seamlessly, she taught us to drink Chimosas! Interesting to look behind the scenes at the green energy and a well run kitchen and wine cellar. Great food, good game sightings and a rare treat as so few other vehicles around . Great to be in the plains as a contrast to other areas in Zambia. We were sorry to leave feeling like we had for a short time joined a lovey family. Don’t really want to recommend the camp as we may never be able to return as suspect this newish camp will become one of the places to visit in the Kafure but fabulous . Thanks to all the staff at Chisa for such a memorable stay ."

"We had been to Tafika many years ago and enjoyed it , this time we travelled with friends and the atmosphere was not the same. We had a great guide Billy, the camp is in a fabulous location and as documented the game viewing is superb. The accommodation is spacious and is great but sadly our welcome was poor manger was off sick which I guess didn’t help. This was such a contrast to the camp we had left it really stood out but of course first impressions count. The staff didn’t seem that happy and although the family were often around and friendly just a few changes would take it back to being excellent. Food needs updating and they were the only camp that didn’t seem to have got dietary requirements for us and even when we checked it took 24 hours and having to raise it as a issue before things improved but compared to the other 3 camps we stayed in, did not make the same effort. Still you can’t beat the camp for location, guiding and the fact it is in a quieter bit of the park which is busier these days so still worth a visit but maybe trading on these things and needs a bit of updating ."

"We thought we couldn’t better Chisa but this camp was fabulous and our 4 nights were a fantastic way to finish our trip to Zambia. Lovely location, rooms and the deck were fabulous , we loved the decor and extra touches. Great guiding from Philemon and Elias helping with hide visits. The staff were all great , we had a lot of laughs and were exceptionally well cared for, led by Cally , Catherine and Rubin - thank you for such a memorable stay. The food was amazing Catherine is a fabulous chef and catered for everyone’s needs with a big smile, we have stolen a few recipes and are eagerly awaiting that cookbook.
Game viewing was superb especially for leopards, hygena and lion cubs, the hides are a great additional - a good place to sit quietly and watch.
A truly superb camp we hope to return ."
