"This was our second safari in South Luangwa Park, after an interval of 4 years. We knew the area to visit, relatively distant from the entrance to the Park, as the game is excellent but the game vehicles few so viewing is really good. With help from Expert Africa's Claire we chose 3 camps and they were all excellent. She encouraged us to include a small bush camp and we were pleased that she did as it was probably the best experience and our apprehension about the open air bathroom was misplaced as it was private and enclosed.

Claire was brilliant because she was able to change our three return flights after we had made our booking, to accommodate a private trip to/from Chipata that we had not been able to firm up initially. All our arrangements went smoothly other than delays caused by the airline - as she had provided the contact details of Expert Africa's ground agents in Nairobi we were able to phone and ensure they waited at the airport while our luggage was located." "Trip as a whole was great!

In retrospect, I would have not spent four nights at Machaba (or any probably), but as I spent a day there sick I'm glad I didn't have to fly that day as well. I was disappointed in the suggestion of Machaba, since I had specifically said I wanted to avoid the 20-cars-around-one-animal sort of safari. That only occurred around the leopards and the lions, but still... I had raised this concern specifically with Richard and he assured me that the guides would manage it, but there was no way to manage it with so many camps/lodges and individual drivers." "Very enjoyable trip combining a safari in two contrasting areas of Kenya (Samburu and Mara Naboisho) with a beach holiday in Zanzibar. it was a particular pleasure that we were not bothered by mosquitoes.

"This was our first trip to Namibia after much planning and we were definitely not disappointed. It is a vast country with beautiful, ever changing scenery and friendly people. The wildlife is spectacular and all our accommodation was wonderful. Although bumpy, the wide roads were virtually empty and we really enjoyed our drives and wouldn't have wanted to miss that aspect of the trip .In addition to the journeys the one night stops added to our experience of the unique variety of Namibia and brought us into contact with more Namibians. They certainly offered more than just a stop over. We had an amazing time and would love to return one day.
