Essque Zalu Zanzibar: video gallery

Essque Zalu Zanzibar: picture gallery

Essque Zalu Zanzibar is located on the north-east coastline of Zanzibar.
It has an enormous makuti thatch roof, reminiscent of the Sydney Opera House...
...which looks spectacular when lit up at night.
All of the forty suites have the same facilities...
...a spacious master bedroom...
...with air conditioning and a mosquito net...
...a separate lounge area...
...and a bright, clean en suite bathroom...
...and a large shower.
There are also nine larger villas...
...several of which have private plunge pools...
...more spacious lounge facilities as well as a kitchen area.
Some of the rooms over look the garden, others have sea-views, and some do both!
In the spa there is a fitness centre, a sauna, and an aromatherapy steam room.
Treat yourself to a massage in the spa...
...either modern or traditional.
There are two restaurants which serve 'cosmopolitan' cuisine...
...either in the Market Kitchen...
... or at the jetty restaurant.
The bar on the jetty is extremely relaxed...
... with modern furniture, and is a great place to watch the sunset.
There's also the aptly named 'Baobab bar' and the '1506' offering alternative places to get a drink...
... and private dinning can also be arranged.
The infinity pool give you a breathtaking view across the turquoise Indian ocean...
...and features both multicoloured underwater lights and a whirlpool.
Essque Zalu has a well equipped kids club...
...which even has a small pool.
