"Our July 2019 trip"

I visited Zambia between 4 Jul 2019 and 18 Jul 2019
"From start to finish our trip was wonderful, and the start is as always with the planning. Amanda Bond was extremely helpful and effiecient all the way through, and couldn't have done any more to make our trip the success it was.

We also found Tours Africa who provided all our road transfers to be very efficient and friendly and reliable, always keeping us informed and also always on time.

Lattitude15 as reported, we found had it's limitations but Tafika was as fantastic as ever.

We look forward to starting to plan our next trip.

"Safari in Zambia"

I visited Zambia between 3 Jul 2019 and 23 Jul 2019
"Our entire time in Zambia was on safaris, walking as much as possible. We were very happy with the choice of camps , and we had a brilliant time.

We particularly enjoyed the small camps, especially when their atmosphere is informal. We were very happy at Kutali to see Luke speaking Nyanja with the staff.

We are uncomfortable with the post-colonial formality and unnecessary sophistication of food and lodging in wilderness situations; to us they feel like a perpetuation of psychological exploitation. But we love the skill and enthusiasm of the guides and the observation of all features of the environment.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

I used the website and Bradt books a great deal in research." Read full review: 20 nights in Africa; 19 on a Zambia safari

"Fabulous trip"

I visited Zambia between 26 Jun 2019 and 8 Jul 2019
"This was a wonderful trip which surpassed our high expectations. Fabulous in every way. Could not have been better.

One point I would make is that we thought we were to stay 3 nights at Kutali camp in the Lower Zambezi NP. In fact after the first night the whole camp was moved to Chula camp where we spent 2 nights. It turns out that Tusk and Mane move the camp from Kutali to Chula every 4 nights - the whole camp is dissassembled and then reassembled. It did not matter to us as both camps are really fantastic but it might to others who are expecting to stay in the same place for 3 nights...………." "3 generations of family experience old Africa"

I visited Zambia between 26 Jun 2019 and 5 Jul 2019
"For 3 of our children and spouses, and 5 grandchildren, our return to Africa after our trip in 2005 was the trip of a lifetime. The camps were wonderful, the guides professional, the food excellent, the animal sighting spectacular. BUT....I would be negligent if I didn't mention our trip to a local village. Our children and grandchildren have grown up in U.S. "bubbles"....knowing intellectually that the whole world was not like their worlds, but not really understanding what that meant in their guts.

Our children watched our grandchildren play a game of football (soccer) with the village kids, sing and dance with the village folks, and simply see where and how these people live.....no electricity, no running water, no cell phones.

The smiles on both sides were something our kids and grandkids will always remember. Perhaps happiness isn't about money and possessions after all?

Nope....our second time using you and we would absolutely do so again." Read full review: 9 nights in Africa; 7 on a Zambia safari

"Luangwa/ Malawi June 2019"

I visited Zambia and 2 other countries between 26 Jun 2019 and 9 Jul 2019
"Expert Africa delivered everything we had asked for for our holiday. Excellent service, understood what we wanted - remote, few other people and especially few other vehicles but with lots to see. Personal service everywhere we went and we always felt we were valued as people as well as customers.

Remote Africa Safaris were exactly that, at the edge of the South Luangwa - superb places to stay and excellent guides. A walking safari isn't for everyone and you don't get as close to animals as you would in a vehicle, but the whole experience more than makes up for that. We saw lots of animals and birds - large and small and can't thank our guide (Moffit) enough - he really made the holiday.

We loved the eco ethos of both Remote Africa Safaris and Kaya Mawa; home grown food, avoiding plastics were possible, local employment, clear investment in staff training, recycling and solar energy.

A great holiday" Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 7 on a Zambia safari

"Our June 2019 trip to Zambia and Malawi"

I visited Zambia and 2 other countries between 18 Jun 2019 and 3 Jul 2019
"Fantastic memories - thank you Expert Africa. It’s hard to exaggerate the beauty of Africa.

Beguiling and awesome in equal measure. We loved watching the drama unfold everyday. Someone said, "you feel more alive living with lions”. I would add: "...particularly on a walking safari." Zambia appears to specialise in these and we found the guiding excellent, although thirty metres from a lion is plenty close enough for me.

The canoeing we loved too. A true escape from our provincial life where many of our friends only wish to be close to a crocodile if it were a handbag! I'm determined to get them to go on safari and spend their money more wisely. We are saving up for the next one!

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Not really. I'll certainly choose to travel with you again." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 7 on a Zambia safari

"Overall pretty good experience"

I visited Zambia and 2 other countries between 18 Jun 2019 and 6 Jul 2019
"In planning this big trip for five people, I enjoyed working with Maruska, who was patient, responsive and knowledgeable over the course of a year. The time zone difference was a minor inconvenience for communication.

We loved Anabezi, really enjoyed Somalisa Acacia, were disappointed by Lion Camp, and appalled by Splash Camp. We paid a lot of money for four nights at Splash and felt it was largely a waste of money, except for seeing painted dog pups.

While much information was supplied, some of it was unclear or inaccurate and I found myself doing research instead of asking Expert Africa again (i.e. WiFi at each camp; what kind of plugs were needed; what are the current baggage requirements). I would have liked more precision about logistics (i.e. there are multiple vehicles involved in some transfers). I also made myself a map of camps and airstrips that would be a nice touch from you.

The little gift of luggage tag and passport holder was thoughtful but not very well designed!" Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 6 on a Zambia safari
