"My Jul 2019 trip"
"Africa trip, July 2019"
We also enjoyed our visits to Cape Town and Jo'Burg. We had private guides for a day in both towns, which we like to do wherever we travel - and our guides really gave us tremendous insight into the history and lives of people in these towns and throughout South Africa." "Amazing trip to Zambia"
Our special requests were all noted and fed through to the camps which made us feel very special. Thank you
We loved Mchenja and Chongwe camps and although the treehouse at Flatdogs is totally unique, the experience does not quite match the other 2 camps.
Our suggestion would be to stay at Flatdogs first, outside the park before moving into the much quieter and exclusive inner park.
We loved being asked to record our wildlife sightings." Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 13 on a Zambia safari
"Zambia 2019"
The remoteness we experienced in North Luangwa in particular, and the quality of the guiding plus the lack of other vehicles in all the places we visited, were really very special indeed.
Walking in the bush, particularly with Remote Africa, was both immersive and addictive and coupled with the smaller, rustic nature of the camps we stayed at throughout the holiday has very much whetted our appetites for more!" Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 13 on a Zambia safari
"Brilliant, exceptional, fantastic."
The initial call to Expert Africa made us feel like a customer dealing with a company that cared about what we wanted to achieve from the holiday. All the lodges we stayed at were superb, it was luxury in the bush. The game viewing was second to none, not only all the "big animal" but also some very interesting smaller ones (elephant shrew, honey badgers, porcupines, mongoose).
A perfect holiday that we will talk about for a very long time, thank you." Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 14 on a Zambia safari
"Safari in Zambia"
We particularly enjoyed the small camps, especially when their atmosphere is informal. We were very happy at Kutali to see Luke speaking Nyanja with the staff.
We are uncomfortable with the post-colonial formality and unnecessary sophistication of food and lodging in wilderness situations; to us they feel like a perpetuation of psychological exploitation. But we love the skill and enthusiasm of the guides and the observation of all features of the environment.

I used the website and Bradt books a great deal in research." Read full review: 20 nights in Africa; 19 on a Zambia safari
"Fabulous trip"
One point I would make is that we thought we were to stay 3 nights at Kutali camp in the Lower Zambezi NP. In fact after the first night the whole camp was moved to Chula camp where we spent 2 nights. It turns out that Tusk and Mane move the camp from Kutali to Chula every 4 nights - the whole camp is dissassembled and then reassembled. It did not matter to us as both camps are really fantastic but it might to others who are expecting to stay in the same place for 3 nights...………." "Trip of a lifetime"
We then spent a long time with Richard Trillo and his team discussing options and then left it to him to put together an extended trip to hopefully tick all the boxes on our wish list.
ALL BOXES TICKED, this was a fantastic journey through 5 African countries, we have seen and experienced so much, so a VERY BIG THANK YOU to Expert Africa for arranging this for us.

No, just carry on doing what you're doing now - it would be very hard to improve what you're already doing so well." Read full review: 44 nights in Africa; 17 on a Kenya safari
"Our June 2019 trip to Zambia and Malawi"
Beguiling and awesome in equal measure. We loved watching the drama unfold everyday. Someone said, "you feel more alive living with lions”. I would add: "...particularly on a walking safari." Zambia appears to specialise in these and we found the guiding excellent, although thirty metres from a lion is plenty close enough for me.
The canoeing we loved too. A true escape from our provincial life where many of our friends only wish to be close to a crocodile if it were a handbag! I'm determined to get them to go on safari and spend their money more wisely. We are saving up for the next one!

Not really. I'll certainly choose to travel with you again." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 7 on a Zambia safari
"Overall pretty good experience"
We loved Anabezi, really enjoyed Somalisa Acacia, were disappointed by Lion Camp, and appalled by Splash Camp. We paid a lot of money for four nights at Splash and felt it was largely a waste of money, except for seeing painted dog pups.
While much information was supplied, some of it was unclear or inaccurate and I found myself doing research instead of asking Expert Africa again (i.e. WiFi at each camp; what kind of plugs were needed; what are the current baggage requirements). I would have liked more precision about logistics (i.e. there are multiple vehicles involved in some transfers). I also made myself a map of camps and airstrips that would be a nice touch from you.
The little gift of luggage tag and passport holder was thoughtful but not very well designed!" Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 6 on a Zambia safari
