Shumba Camp: picture gallery

Shumba Camp is built on a tree island in the middle of the Busanga Plains.
It has six spacious tended rooms with comfortable beds.
All rooms are arranged with antique-style furniture...
... an en-suite with twin sinks,…
... flush toilet and walk-in shower.
Included in each bathroom are soaps and shampoos.
After waking up each day with a wonderful view over the grasslands...
... you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee on your own private deck...
... and relax under the morning sun of Zambia.
A tea and coffee station with cakes is in all rooms, in case you get hungry between meals.
You get from your room to the main building via a raised walkway...
... which has a vast deck with various levels...
... including a small swimming pool…
... and a big lounge with a sunken campfire.
Inside there is a lounge where guests can read books from the library, or simply relax...
... a large dining room,...
... where lunch is normally a buffet…
... and a well-stocked bar.
The dining area has individual tables both inside...
... and outside.
Each part of the camp makes the most of the view over the grasslands.
Next to the main area is a small shop...
... where you can find some Zambian crafts.
The main activity from Shumba is a vehicle based safari...
... which gets you close to animals both big...
...and small.
And you may see some of the population of over 450 lions in Kafue National Park.
