"Fabulous warm reception from all the staff.

Our room was lovely with fabulous views. The food I have to say was superb and dinner has to be one of the best meals we have had in a long time.

The game drives we chose were Leopard Tracking in the evening and Cheetahs in the morning.

Leopard tracking was excellent plenty of game to see on the drive and we got extremely close to two Leopards.

Cheetahs in the morning had the added bonus of seeing the lions been fed."

"Again a lovely warm reception from all of the staff. Our room was good, everything was spotlessly clean and the food was good. When we were there it was extremely cold on a night and we thought another fire at the bottom of the dinning room would have been nice. We did get hot water bottles put in our bed which was heaven.

Good location for visiting Etosha, you definitely need a 4 x4 in there at the moment as the roads are very bad."

"Wow what a view from our fabulous room. This is the sort of place you just want to sit back relax and watch the Okavango flow by. The food was good but not very hot, its difficult serving a lot of people outside. The plates were very cold when handed to us so if they warm their plates it would help with keeping the food warm during the serving process.

We did a sunset cruise down the river which was just lovely.

Would love to return here for a longer stay next time!!!"

"We had a time to meet our guide at the roadside, we were early and so was our guide Adam.

What a welcome we got when jet boating up to the lodge!!! Happiness and Bee stood on the jetty singing and dancing a welcome to Nxamaseri.

We were the only two guest in the lodge so we did feel rather special. The food, service and room were excellent. So lovely to lay in bed listening to the hippo’s munching away outside.

We did a trip to Tsodilo Hills which was excellent and very interesting. Bee came with us and prepared a lovely picnic lunch. We also did two sunset river cruises where we saw some fabulous birds along with Croc’s, Hippo’s and Otters

Again I would love to return Nxamaseri!!"

"Our instructions for getting to this lodge were to call when we got to Kongola. Then we would be met at a location and taken to the lodge. First problem we had was that no one from Lupala would answer the phone. I left a voice message and asked to call me back to confirm they received the message. I received no call and tried both numbers I had been given several times more. I had also been given a number for Wilderness Safaris which when I rang was a Saturday and no one was in the office but they did have an emergency number to ring. I did manage to speak to someone who said he would contact the lodge. He rang back and said someone from Lupala would ring me within the next 5 minutes. No call came. By this time we had gone through Sangwali village and were heading down a very deep rutted track. There was no sign of anyone meeting us from the lodge or phoning us. I called the emergency number again and the man was a little annoyed that no one from Lupala had rung me. He said he would contact the lodge again, he then rang me back and told us to stay where we where and someone would be with us as asap. We did eventually get escorted to the lodge and so very glad we did not try to make our own way in as I’m sure we would have got lost.

We had a fabulous view from our tent again everything was really clean and the food was very good. One small thing I didn’t like was that they turned the water off from 9.15pm to 6.30am. So you are unable to flush the toilet.

We did not see lions but we were woken by them roaring ………..just wonderful.

We did an evening game drive and a half day combo. The boat part of the combo was definitely the best bit. Lots of elephants coming to drink from the river and Hippos galore."

"Another warm welcome from all the staff at River lodge. Our room was lovely and the food was good. Lots of wildlife visiting the garden. We did a morning game drive in Chobe which was excellent. Also did an evening river cruise again our guide was brilliant at getting us to right spot at the right moment.

Would love to return here too!!!"

"Lovely old majestic hotel full of history and character, in a fabulous location. Disappointed with the fine dining in the Livingston room, we expecting so much more. Probably the worst diner we had on our whole trip.

Helicopter over the falls was a wonderful end to this superb holiday."
