So good we might have to go back!
Namibia between 25 Oct 2009 and 13 Nov 2009
Next time I'd like to see some options so I get to choose what I am payng for. (type of vehicle, accommodation options, activities etc.) On this occasion we booked quite late so the options would have been limited, but having visited we know there are different camps
We were impressed with the itinerary that Sabina sorted for us, particularly booking the accommodations she did at such short notice. It was a pleasure to meet Chris at Ongava.
Thank you Sabina"

Kulala Wilderness Camp, Namibia (this camp has since closed)
"Kulala Wilderness Camp review"
Our vehicle broke down on the return from the dunes, the radio didn't work (possibly the channel had been changed), the guide didn't have back up phone numbers. Uncomfortable waiting in the heat and not knowing quite what was going ion"

Could have stayed longer. Internet and Wifi access."

Terrace Bay
"Terrace Bay review"
Perhaps NWR should consider refurbishing and providing two grades of cabin - one for the fishermen and an upgraded one for tourists.
Friendly atmosphere, loved the quotes on the dining room wall."

Doro Nawas

The trip along the river bed to see the elephants was magical.
The rock paintings were amazing - Why hadn't we heard of them before?"

Ongava Lodge

Seeing & getting so close to white rhino with baby was the highlight. Enjoyed the different species coming and going at the waterhole.
Beware the Dassies!"

Okaukuejo Camp
"Okaukuejo Camp review"
The idea of driving ourselves on safari was novel but enjoyable. Tough to make a call which waterholes to go to though.
Our expectations of the accommodation and food weren't high, however, we were pleasantly surprised."

Okonjima Plains Camp
"Okonjima Main Camp review"
We were thrilled when we saw a leopard coming out of the bush towards us; we had close up views of the cheetahs which we hadn't anticipated and saw a bigger range of wildlife overall. Great guide. It is worth doing a 'night drive' just to see the spring hares
Staff here set the standard for professionalism. Would definitely try to stay here again if we ever return to Namibia!"
