"In most aspects Migration was excellent, they are outstanding particularly in service. The negative was the kitchen. The food was ok but really only between average to good. As a negative example, one lunch had vegetarian pizza as one of the choices on the menu. It apparently was not very popular and slices of pizza re-appeared two days later in our picnic lunch (although to be fair that was only one item and the lunch also offered chiken, potato salad, green salad and wine) and pizza again in box lunches packed for our plane trip on the next day - ie. by now four day old pizza. The box lunch was actually quite poor in quality of content, the sandwich included was a roll of white bread with a sliced hot dog (which in itself was a left over from a breakfast menu). I understand their drive not to waste food but an item uneaten owing to unpopularity doesn't improve with age.
The guide was really outstanding, he literally spotted a leopard in a tree by seeing just the tail move from 300-400 meters while he was driving. He routinley did things like this in spotting game."

We passed these comments to Mike Sanders, the Group Operations Manager for Elewana camps, responded:
"We are most pleased to see that over all Migration camp rated as excellent. We pride ourselves on delivering an experience which exceeds the expectations of our guests and we unfortunately have failed to do with regards to the food at Migration camp in this instance. The repeated appearance of Pizza on the menu is indeed below standard and this issue has been addressed with the management and kitchen staff at Migration camp.
Rest assured however that we do not recycle guest food. All breads, pastries and pizzas are freshly baked on a daily basis. The vegetarian pizza is normally very popular with our guests. For breakfast we serve pork and beef sausages only and on the hot dog we serve beef Vienna's and would never recycle breakfast sausages into the lunch boxes. The lunch boxes are tailor made daily. It does however appear that the lunch boxes were not up to our high standards and we apologise to Mr Karlo for this, and for the frequency of which the pizza appeared on the menu.
These issues have been seriously addressed and will not reoccur in the future."

"Great hotel, loved the room and location.
The downside was the meal. Although the restaurant is well rated our dinner was not good. We had a seafood tray (the most expensive oten on the menu) and most of it was so overcooked as to be unedible. Don't know if this is a routine problem or if the kitchen just had a bad day."

"Matemwe was very good all around. We wer particularly impressed that they organiozed a surprise romatic dinner for just us two in a candle lit grotto on the beach.
Our only downsdie was poor luck with weather - not much sun. One suggestion would to warn'advise your clients that there may be large numbers of sea urchins and that under no circumstance should enter the ocean barefoot. We didn't have any mishap but it could easily happen as they were very large in numbers.
