Zambia and 1 other country between 11 Sep 2024 and 21 Sep 2024
"Didn't really know what we wanted to do so were reliant on Amanda's advice. We loved all aspects of Nkwali Lodge ...the Lodge, the staff. the food, the location, the safari trips, walking safari and our guide Perry. He was so enthusiastic about his job and making sure we really enjoyed our stay. Also the hostess Bianca arranged for us to having a morning in town to do a craft workshop and visit a school. Perfect 4 days.
Palm Ridge was a bit of a contrast and we enjoyed relaxing by the Zambezi after several 530am starts. Again the staff were excellent and Tina at activities desk arranged several outings once we recuperated.
There were no hiccups throughout the trip ...we were met at airports, picked up in hotels, Zimbabwe visa organised. All ran very smoothly.
If I had to change one thing I would have stayed an extra night in Lusaka. For 2 reasons ...we loved the Latitude 15 hotel and also it would have been interesting to see centre of Lusaka. However we accept total responsibility as at no point did we ask Amanda to do that for us and also we had a limited no of days for trip.
The whole trip was amazing and far exceeded expectations. Shall thank Keith Drew for recommending Expert Africa."

"A very special memorable experience "

"Enjoyed every aspect of our 4 night stay in Nkwali.
Over the four days we were led by three different guides (one who picked us up at airport, one who was our regular guide, one who took us on the walking safari) and all were excellent. We appreciated their enthusiasm and their efforts to make sure we were having an enjoyable holiday. Their knowledge of the animals and birds was impressive ....as were their ability to find stunning spots for sundowners!
The food was very tasty, varied and and well presented. On one evening we came back to discover they had set up dinner for two on our room terrace as everyone else had left. A small gesture but typical of the thoughtfulness of staff to make our stay special."

"Beautiful setting by Zambezi river"

"After a busy four days on safari we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on a sunbed by Zambezi. It's a beautiful building with spacious rooms and complimentary drinks in room fridge. It is well located for visiting Victoria Falls and there is a shuttle bus if you want to visit town.
There is an activity person who arranged guided tour of Falls and trip to evening dance show. She also looked after us when we went on sunset cruise which left from pier at hotel.
All staff were helpful and cheerful.
It was also possible to view wildlife within hotel e.g. one night while have a late drink we saw four elephants walking by."

Ra-Ikane River Cruise
"A relaxing couple of hours and different way to view wildlife"

Were well looked after by two members of staff. Although there were a lot of boats on the river they managed to find quiet spots where we could view birds and animals without being surrounded by other tourists.
Seeing crocodiles from boat a very different experience than from a safari vehicle.
Obviously seeing the sunset from river with reflections on water a special experience.
Were a bit disappointed in quality of snacks as they were a bit dry and not very tasty. The waiter very affable and generous with drinks.

Outdoor areas very relaxing and two pool areas available (although we didn't use them). Enjoyed dinner al fresco.
only 'disappointing ' feature was that we were only staying one night!"
