"We would absolutely recommend Expert Africa to anyone. From our first call to our last it was excellent service.
We were placed with Jessica Plumb based on the area we desired to travel. She guided us with care and precision answering any and all questions we had. The attention to detailed planning was felt throughout the trip! We could not have asked for anything more!
The Nomad team was top notch. You can tell by talking to them they are a wonderful company with little turnover. They are a family and value their guest. The accommodations, although all different were excellent and the service was first class. The food was AMAZING. We really had no idea what to expect but it was delicious. The guides take ownership in making sure their guest see everything they possibly can. Wifi was a pleasant surprise and much appreciated to communicate briefly with those back home. Without a doubt we will assist in talking to anyone about our trip and the excellent service we received!
It's hard to say what was our favorite because we loved each and every minute! We have said again and again we could not have been treated any better any where else! We hope to return and WILL use Expert Africa.

"Regardless of the guests' meal plan, we ask all guests to sign their bills at the end of each meal. This is standard procedure to ensure accuracy in tracking food and beverage consumption, particularly for any additional items such as drinks that are not covered under the meal plan. These items are charged to the room account, and the signing process helps ensure transparency and alignment between guests and our staff. We will work on improving how we communicate this to guests moving forward, so it doesn’t cause any unnecessary confusion in the future.
As for the feedback on service and food quality, we take this seriously. Rivertrees is known for providing a high level of service, and it’s disappointing to hear we didn’t meet these expectations in this instance. We will address these areas internally to ensure we maintain the high standards we’re known for."

"We were greeted at the Kuro airstrip by Godfrey Jumbe who welcomed us and drove us to the camp. He talked with us throughout the trip and guided us to see our first of many animals.
Once arriving at the camp we were welcomed by the NOMAD team and given our orientation for our stay. Everyone was eager to assist us and friendly. We were offered cold towels and drinks. Jonathon gave us our instructions and walked us through our stay.
The ENTIRE staff was friendly, welcoming, and personable. The stay was so enjoyable! We had excellent meals here and the service was first class. We enjoyed our stay here tremendously.
We felt comfortable and safe in the rooms. We even mastered the bucket showers! The morning coffee and tea delivery was prompt and appreciated!
Good Luck, who was one of the servers, was a sweetheart and so fun to talk to. We enjoyed him so much! We highly recommend Kuro Tarangire!!!!!"

"Rowland Ngowi from the NOMAD team picked us up from the Manyara Airstrip. Unfortunately Steve got airsick the second time on the small flights, but Rowland had plenty of Krest Tonic Water in the cooler and snacks if needed for the two hour+ trip to the camp. He was very pleasant sharing interesting facts about the villages we were traveling through.
Once we arrived at the camp we spoke to Robert during our camp orientation regarding a possible change in transportation to our next camp to avoid further air sickness for Steve. He suggested that we talk to Moody Kassim, who immediately started working on a plan and later that evening shared that the plan, if we so chose, would work and it did! Without a doubt Moody is a problem solver and great manager. Robert, who is in management training, did a great job assisting us as well and was a pleasure to get to know.
The accommodations exceeded all expectations! We were told they were newly built and we would say job well done! The main lodge and the cottages were beautifully decorated and made to feel at home The heaters were also a very nice warm touch as well as the hot water bottles placed in our bed after dinner.
The service was excellent and prompt when asking for escorts to the lodge and for coffee/tea delivery. We specifically loved the dumbwaiter!
Rowland made our day in the crater a spectacular experience. His knowledge of the area and the animals was excellent. We enjoyed our day with him."

Rowland was a fabulous guide. We learned so much from him. He picked us up for an early start to the day and it was worth it. We had both breakfast and lunch in the crater. We saw so many animals and learned so much from Rowland. He was patient and willing to answer all our questions and waiting for sightings.
He is a dedicated NOMAD guide!
Rowland also played a huge part in the new plan to take us to our next camp by vehicle rather than air. We appreciated his willingness to drive us eight hours and mix in a game drive along the way! We saw another leopard! Success all the way around!

"After an eight hour drive, arriving at a tent was not exactly what I was looking forward to. However, in true NOMAD fashion, the staff welcomed us and gave us information on our stay. The team was friendly, eager, and attentive!
We enjoyed excellent meals in the bush and at the lodge. Edwin was our guide and he exceeded all our safari expectations! Edwin also showed us a Mara River Wildebeest crossing.
Kanaeli, NOMAD manager was instrumental in securing the next driver for us who turned out to be Edwin!
We were pleasantly surprised to have wifi at all locations which I failed to include earlier!
We again mastered the bucket shower and enjoyed the Serengeti sunrise over the veranda!"

This was our first time in a hot air balloon! We loved it.
We were given detailed instructions for entry and exit into the basket. We felt very safe! The pilot was informative and talked to us throughout the journey. We were able to see animals from above as well as other camps and landmarks.
Once we landed we enjoyed a celebratory bush breakfast! We enjoyed talking to others and celebrating our journey!

That being said, we saw the level of service as lacking in comparison to what we found at our three other lodges. Communication was lacking. For example, we understood we had paid for room and board at Rivertrees to include meals. We were confused by being presented with a bill at the end of each meal. We confirmed that we were not charged but still confusing.
This undoubtedly suffers by comparison, but the food at Rivertrees was subpar."
