Hodge Namibia road trip October 2022

"This is probably one of our "all time" favourite trips.
Namibia is vast and beautiful and the people so welcoming. For us, everything went smoothly, our drives between destinations were problem free and the variety of activities worked for us. Despite distances travelled, it was very relaxed and arriving at lodges was always a delight with a welcome drink and a song. The small "touches" that the lodges offer really do make a difference.

"Great secluded location. Lovely staff ( as were all staff throughout our stay in Namibia)
The private gate to Sossusvlei was a real bonus as we were able to arrive ahead of the crowds. Although we initially intended to drive ourselves, we were glad of the guided trip from the lodge as moving around the park & access to trails is not overly signposted."

"Great location, lovely hotel.
It was nice to have a couple of days relaxing in "Civilization" after early mornings & long days at the Desert Lodge.
Good restaurants, easy to walk into the town.
Although not directly related to the Strand Hotel, we did some fantastic trips in Swakop : Kayaking with Seals & Sandwich Harbour tour, both highly recommended"

A truly amazing experience.

"The location is incredible, the staff could not be more attentive.
Despite the volume of tourists that stay each year, the team are genuinely pleased to welcome you to the Lodge.
The food was really good and so was the wine! Accommodation was excellent.
The guides are very knowledgeable and we were ale to see elephants and giraffes at close proximity."

"Flying in and out of Hoanib Valley was an excursion in itself.
The scenery is impossible to capture in any photo. A long drive from the airstrip to the camp but worth it once you are there.
The staff are so welcoming with their drinks and singing. always offering drinks / snacks.
Rooms are amazing given the location, it was a really special stay, again withy knowledgeable guides."

"Spitzkoppen worked well for the short duration, the lodge itself has a very functional feel to it.
However, the scenery is amazing and we had a great afternoon excursion to the rocks / rock art and the sunsets were pretty spectacular.
Staff were very friendly and our only flat tire of the trip was spotted by one of the team and very quickly and willingly fixed for us.
A good stop en route to Windhoek."
