Bucket list trip to Amazing Africa
Kenya between 4 Feb 2021 and 17 Feb 2021
"Kenya was the most genuine, helpful, kind, place I have ever visited. It was like stepping into another world. Everyone was wonderful, Kenya has definitely taken conservation and hospitality to the next level. I believe that Kenya is the best place to visit in all of Africa. Definitely something that nature lovers have to put on their bucket list.
Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
When Richard organized this trip, he used the word "bespoke". We had no idea what that meant. We do now and will be forever grateful. He did an amazing job. I have done planned tours before where I felt that I could have planned the same trip and saved money. But on this one, I was quite certain that I could never have done what Richard did, and it was absolutely magical. We looked at economy, budget, comfort and the luxury Expert Africa tours. At the beginning of the process I was quite sure that we could not afford the high end. But after seeing the packed economy tour vans, and experiencing Africa the Expert Africa way, I would never even consider anything else. It would be like going to Disney Land and staying in the parking lot.
There is nothing that can substitute for experience and knowhow."

"Lewa was a great place to start. The grounds were magnificent and the staff was far beyond our expectations. Our guide was great from the second we got off the plane. we headed right to a Lion kill. It was a great time! George was wonderful. we even got jokingly charged by an elephant. it was great!
The only regret we had was the food, we gained at least 10 lbs each...like eating at a 5 star restaurant every day!"

"Amboseli was amazing, there was a virtual carpet of life all about you. The Location of Tortilis was great, on a hill with views of the entire valley. Out of all the places we stayed, the scenery at Amboseli was my favorite. The wildlife may have been a bit further away, but there was always something. Like all of the Elewana collection, the food, service and ambiance were amazing. Ali was a great guide and we had an amazing time with him! Normally we travel more budget conscious, but, this experience has shown us what is possible, and may have spoiled us for truly amazing vacations, destinations, and accommodations."

Sand River Camp
"Magical location"

"Sand River Camp was the culmination of 3 of the Elewana collection, and by far the most spectacular. We were completely stunned by the room and the area. It was by far the most wonderful vacation stay we have ever had. Words do not describe this amazing place. we watched elephants and baboons from our deck overlooking the sand river, and were aware of the elephants that wandered through camp at night. it was like being Robinson Caruso. The staff was outstanding and we regretted that we were not able to tip more than we did, they truly deserved far more than we were able to leave, we felt that thankful and impressed. Joel was our driver and he was great. From the airport on we saw amazing things. A leopard in a tree was our first sighting and it went on from there. we were even graced with a little Valentine day loving lion style on Valentine's day. It was great."
