"It was an OK parking place to stay for a night before the real holiday began. But it feels a bit tired and needs to re-think its offer. Some of the staff were rather off-hand"

"Wonderful. Just what we hoped for. As in other of the resorts, the guides were excellent and the animals were prolific. The food is great - and never seems to stop and the rooms are very comfortable. An outstanding experience.

Two minor issues: I think the South African wines (most of which I know well) are at the bottom of the acceptable range. I found one in a SA supermarket for R53. I think you could do better. Secondly, I hate tipping at these resorts. I don't like to spend my time with the nagging thought of what would be fair. I would far rather have the sum included in the cost and a 'no-tipping' policy brought in."

"As with the other resorts, Splash was outstanding - and newly opened. We really liked it.

One small point: I had to buy some sun-screen. The price ($24) was twice what it should have been. And when I asked whether I could pay by card the exchange rate was pretty poor and I was told a 3% addition would be added. This is not generous and not the way I expect to be treated in such a high-cost resort."

"Very different from the Okovango camps but an excellent comparitor. The guides were particulary good - they knew everything we asked about. Only one point: the temperature fell to 2 degrees in the morning. Our room had no windows and the cold air cascaded over our bed. We were really cold at night and didn't sleep well. But otherwise it was outstanding. I would certainly recommend it."
