"Nice small hotel for first night stay"

"Unfortunately our stay was severely affected by very cold weather and our room was not up to coping with it. I'm sure it's a very nice place to stay if the weather is warmer but with cold weather, we couldn't have the tent flaps open and consequently our room felt very gloomy.

Wolwedans area was very attractive but (not their fault) the weather made a huge difference to our experience there. Our sundowner on the first day was really quite an unpleasant experience, both waiting for the sun to go down and the drive back to the lodge. -Freezing. Two nights would have been sufficient.

The included white wine was poor."

"It was very good but I'm not sure it was worth the significant extra expense though I have not visited the alternative lodges in the area so I cannot be sure."

I would probably opt for a hotel in Windhoek itself as a last night stopover."
